- Helldivers 2 has its own Robot Vietnam and it's the best thing I've played in years. If you're not playing Helldivers 2, then you're clearly doing it wrong.

I love the missions where you raise a flag, the flags base plays an anthem while it raises and a drone flies around with a camera to record it, and my friend when the camera was looking at them tried to salute, and threw their grenade at me, and so whoever tuned into that flag raising definitely saw a betrayal.
It is almost hundred percent is not live and got edited out in post.
What flag raising missions I am level 43 and been in 140 missions and I have never seen what you just described

First game was pretty similar in that if you got good at moving and reading the enemy, you could almost always avoid combat to and from objectives, letting you solo some pretty high difficulty missions.
Just be glad the third enemy faction (Illuminate) aren't in Helldivers 2 yet, their scout units are invisible until they spot you, at which an entire squad of enemies starts to teleport in.
I guess I just found it harder to avoid patrols in the top down view. One would always sneak in from just off screen and then sound the alarm
@@PanzerPaw Here is a hidden tactic straight from super earth high command: when you pull up the map, it sends out a pulse that detects patrols, which are represent by red blips.
I am not sure if this has reappeared in 2, but good luck protecting managed democracy in either case.
The guy in the chair that reverses your controls would be hell in 2
@@lilith.d.lazarine ahh the Illusionists. I hate that enemy so much that I would rather face a dozen Brood Commanders or Warlords than a couple of Illusionists.
I was active duty for 8 years and in afghanstan a british commando did actually throw a grenade out of a fighting position and saved everyone. The grenade took most of his hand off and gave him some shrapnel wounds and concussion, but he lived and so did everyone behind him. I was on the chinook that did the casevac for him. Grenades do get kicked or thrown back. Just an fyi. You have to remember tbat not all grenades being used in modern combat are themselves modern. Many of the leftover soviet arms include grenades with fuses closer to 4.5/5 seconds, some longer
Yeah I should've worded it better. I meant that whether or not it happens in combat, it's not something you'd be aiming to do or usually even training specifically for.
@@PanzerPaw Yeah it's definitely an in the moment reaction. Especially overseas. They actually train people not to kick or hit stuff because early on they would put IEDs in empty soda cans and stuff knowing Americans love kicking stuff on the ground. I just thought you were saying you couldn't do it fast enough
9:15 You can throw grenades in the openings to destroy them quickly.
Small tip when fending off Berserkers (The Chainsaw Guys) If you shoot their arms off, it not only reduces their combat effectiveness, they may also slowly bleed out.
Like in the bayformers movies or ....
If i could only mention one good thing about this game, the bigget one is how different the planet feel.
Erata with those dunes and sandstorms, Fenrir like the moon full of craters and the meteor shower, Malevelon creek constant darkest and dense jungle with clears.
Cannot wait for a taiga or swamp style planet
I had so much fun. I was forced to play on my own cause of server issues. But man even on easy I was struggling. Then tried medium and my heart was racing. There was so many atomatons after me, explosions going off , my body flying about and trying to not lose my samples. I panic so couldnt get the 'w.a.s.d.' combos off fast enough so was imputing it in wrong. I ended up just holding on to a granade to get them. It was crazy but getting out just in time is exhilarating.

I can't wait to see where the franchise goes from here. Maybe a helldiver's ranger school plays like MGSV. Seeing as it's the first good live service game I've ever heard of I wouldn't mind buying like qualification courses on the helldiver training world to unlock stealth sabotage or tanker missions.

Lol I've been calling it Space Robot Vietnam since day one, then you've got Space Bug Afghanistan
you can shoot the bot drop ship with like a rocket launcher or smth and it will fall on the ground killing some more robots

Kinda funny but I think Creek actually went DOWN. Also you can reload the recoiless rifle by yourself it just requires the backpack and a solid five or so seconds which is….a LOT. Also the game is currently kind of broken because it’s so popular and is suffering from success. Still adore the game and can’t wait for more strategems to come out so I can deliver MUCH more Vio-*Liberty and Democracy* to my frie-*enemies*.
For democracy! The game is great when you are doing missions and getting upgrades, when servers are full its not great, as I took 2hr to log on the first time than my second mission kicked me out for connection issues when the extract vehicle landed, than all 4 missions didnt give me a reward, I relogged after another 2 hr wait and didnt get my rewards, It took a day to have my rewards load in. Its fun just needs some polish.
It's not necessarily a polish issue, they're suffering from success meaning their servers were constantly overloaded with the number of people that they didn't expect to have.

I dont think you will want it to be called a broken arrow once you understand that broken arrow refers to when the military loses a nculear weapon of some kind.
We have liberated Robot Vietnam and don't fight there anymore, but a piece of me is still there.
I just went from dango animations straight to helldivers. The change is insane

playing open lobby is the best and worst experience one can get! Either or. No middle ground

Would suggest "Robot Verdun," but then there wouldn't be cool music that works with such a thing.
5:49 "I'm telling you there's no actual precedence of some one throwing a grenade back in actual combat..." there is a recorded precedence it's fairly recent and happened early on in the Ukrainian occupation. One lone Ukrainian soldier threw back nine Russian grenades while hiding inside a of a building (I can't remember if there were civilians inside and can't find the clip) eventually he was killed by one of the grenades, however, the Ukrainian war is full of similar instances don't bash the brave actions of these men and women no matter their country, as few of us would be able or willing to do the same.
I was referring precedence as it relates to training. Basically, it _could_ be possible to actually do it. But not something you should necessarily be training to do. As an example, in WWI, soldiers in near enough trenchlines would throw grenades into the enemy trenches. This led to some of them being thrown back due to their long fuse times. But once fuses were shortened, it resulted in casualties from people _attempting_ to throw grenades back. TL;DR Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.

Little comment on when you said, “you don’t see grenade throwbacks in modern combat” is alittle inaccurate due to many reports in Afghanistan, Iraq, and even Ukraine of people doing exactly that 😅great video btw!

i so do wanna try the game (especially cause a lot of people on my friend list has been playing it recently) but unsure if i should wait for the summer sale or not, overall its cheap at only 40 euros but still
regarding throwing back grenades it happens in footage from the October 7th attacks. In which Hummus throws a grenade into a shelter that gets tossed back, There is also more than one video of it happening in the Ukraine War.
i wonder what armed robots would be classified in fallout i think power armor was classified as a mechanized unit but thats not a robot it just a guy in a mech suit

@@ShadowDragon1848Helldivers are the best. In practical use, it's supposed to be a 2-man operated weapon but for lonewolf stuff, pointing it at most things makes the job really easy. Only issue is the blast radius.
