"Road to a million baseballs" is delusional. Even if you had 100 years, that's 10000 balls a year. It's sad his obsession has already taken away the experience of getting a big league ball from so many different fans. I don't care if he gives them away or not. A handout from a man child is not exactly something anyone should treasure.

Zack, can you please do a video about how you plan your trips, the logistics, the costs, etc? This is such a great channel, it just amazes me how you get from place to place the way you do....Thanks!
I'm a very new baseball fan in the UK 🇬🇧 have watched a few games over the years, but over the last 18 months/2 years I've been playing "The Show" and getting an understanding of the game. Came across your channel by accident, but wow, I love your enthusiasm for the game, the stadiums, the balls. You should at some point go and watch a Cricket match in England, I'd say a T20 match or an England test match for a comparison. I'll be trying my hardest for tickets for when MLB hopefully return to London stadium in 2023, especially as my GF is ahead of me having seen a game at dodgers stadium 🏟
Glad you're enjoying baseball! It's a wonderfully nuanced sport and it takes years to understand all the ins and outs of it. I still learn things about the sport after 50 some odd years of following it. Another cool thing about it is that it is well documented. It's been around for a looong time and it's well covered by the media. Records and stats are kept by all teams and the MLB ( Major League Baseball, the organization that runs baseball). They have detailed records and statistics that go back to 1901! That makes it easy to research. I've watched Cricket before but really have no understanding of the sport until I watched this video : ua-cam.com/video/EWpbtLIxYBk/v-deo.html That made it easier to understand and now I at least know the basics so I can follow the action! The length of the games is a little problem for me as they go on for such a very long time. That makes it hard to set aside the time to watch them. Other wise it's looks like a fun game to play, which leads me to a question..... Is there a shortened version of it or one that doesn't need that many people? For example here in the US there are many different versions of baseball that help to cut down on the number of players needed or versions that don't require a lot of room? An example here in the US is something called stick ball or wiffle ball, softball, etc, etc? Are there variants of Cricket? Also, in Cricket do the fans have to give the balls back if a ball is hit out of bounds or are they allowed to keep them? Thanks for any info you can give. Have fun on your baseball journey! You're going to love it!!!
@@kowalski3769 hey, thank you for the message. So far I'm really enjoying it, it's easy to understand on a basic level. But the deep technicalities of the game are taking some understanding. I'm not so much a Cricket fan, but being English it's obviously a fairly big thing Iver here, but not to the level of Football (soccer), or arguably NFL. But I feel like baseball it's very nuanced sport, but at a basic level easy to understand. And also a very traditional and somewhat still stuck in the old ages. I've seen a comparison video between the two sports which gives a good breakdown of cricket.... apologies can't find the video to link. There are a few variants of of cricket, the traditional game (first class/test cricket) is the long form of the game. Fist class is the domestic or county championship (the equivalent of franchises) in the UK and games are played over 4 days, test matches are played between nations and over 5 days. 50 over (an over is similar to an out but 6 bowls from a bowler) or 1 day is a game played between counties and nations, both teams face a maximum of 50 overs. In the last decade or so a new format was introduced called T20 or Twenty Twenty with both teams facing 20 overs, this was introduced as a more fan friendly version to attract more fans. Last year England introduced a version called the 100 and played between English cities, each team facing 100 balls, don't really know to much details about this format though. The ball is used for the duration of a match and aren't kept by fans, if a ball does go missing the umpire will select a "new" ball which is similarly worn to the level of the lost ball. This would mainly be for a ball leaving the ground, not a fan keeping it. In test/first class cricket the ball after a certain period will be changed for a new ball *edit* the video you linked is the comparison video I watched previously
@@AIBullsheeeet That's funny we both referenced the same video! 😆 I'd be happy to answer and questions you have about "deep technicalities", They can definitely get confusing sometimes. I'm sure others would too so ask away! A whole day playing one game seems like a lot to sit thru. Do they take breaks . I think it would be hard to stand out in the field for hours at time concentrating on the game. I think it also would be tough to get kids into playing the sport with the time commitments. Anyway thanks for the info. Cricket intrigues me so any info is good info for me!
@@kowalski3769 for kids, I think if it's school they may play 20 overs so this takes 2/3 hours. Local kids leagues tend to be 40 overs but usually at weekends, but still maybe a 4/5 hour commitment for parents.
