Hello from a german, I have been listening to all the speakers in the DNC in Chicago. One thing I notice is that democrats have so many great speakers. Each and every speaker is so eloquent and intelligent. All the speeches are phenomenal and so moving that they put me in continued awe and in tears. In their hands USA and the rest of the world are in good hands. Thank you from Europe for the bright torches of hope and joy that are you are spreading now. Long live Democracy! ❤❤❤

I'm an American living in Europe. The FACT is - our Democrat Presidents were respected and admired throughout the entire world during their terms of office, and still are. This is absolutely not true of our Republican holders of the high office. One can listen to the speakers at this DNC and clearly see why.

Yes, he absolutely was a GREAT president...easily, the most brilliant political mind by far. Master class orator, charismatic influencer and out of the box thinker. Say what you will about him, but he was the only President that left office with $800 million in surplus in an era marked by residual financial excess left over from the 80s consumer debt and default reality. That in itself took original thinking and action. I saw him speak in 2016, he was completely amazing.

In order to you vote, you must register with your home address and it is the law that your address be a matter of public knowledge. This was fine before traveling thousands of miles became as easy as buying a plane ticket. In these times, we live in a world where simply knowing a person's name allows anybody in the world to find their home address by searching the each state's voting registry. I believe this law is a gross violation of privacy and that voting should not require you to sacrifice something. Until that law is removed, I won't be participating. It's unfortunate that nobody seems to care.

When then Governor Clinton was running for office and after he became President, he and Vice President Gore always inspired me with their speeches. I felt as if I was not being talked down to. President Clinton took extraodinary steps to address our budget, and reduce our debt. He closed a small precentage of military bases, which wasn't always popular, but it brought major economic results. Sadly all of the economic gains he made during his tenure went absolutely down the drain with the succeeding Republican administration. He made mistakes, and being president they were more public than most of us have to ever face. But we all make mistakes. It's part of how we learn, grow, and do better in achieving each and every day. His speech was wonderful this week, and so was Hillary's! I have to say that retirement seems to assist our former leaders in being very relaxed when delivering their speeches, making them even more compelling than when they were under the pressure of either getting re-elected, or defending and detailing their administration's work.
