Finally someone who actually bought the plain one. I think the plain one is heavy and pop more.. everyone buys the diamond cut no matter what size but I think the plain Jane is actually fire... nice chain man... now you experience both plain and diamond cut, which one if you could only have one???
I like them both,but I'd take the 6.5mm diamond cut if I could choose just 1,but for the 5mm I think I like the plain better.

Agree,the franco offers the total package and checks all the boxes,and the plain has the 4 sides but transitions with an added diamond cut edge that I hadn't noticed before,but the tight and heavy links and overall thickness and how it rolls on the neck when you move creates a mesmerizing appeal and I can't grow tired of looking at this beast!

Any regrets? If money were no object... would you have preferred that behemoth 6.5mm Franco he sells? I’m waiting on my 5mm DC 18K Franco to come in. I got a 24” but was stuck between the 5mm and the 6.5mm. In the end... I went with the 5mm because it seemed to dazzle a bit more in all the videos I watched.

Mike, I think I’ve read in some of the comments that you would like a diamond cut Franco over the plain. Is that correct? I am wondering which would be more comfortable to wear as an everyday chain? Is the diamond cut noticeably rougher and the plain noticeably smoother? Do you think it even matters? I know the diamond cut definitely pops in the light more, but is it worth the extra bling for what you might give up in overall wearability… If there is a difference at all. Love to hear your thoughts since you’ve owned both versions, thanks.
At 5mm you will not feel any difference at all,id say that the diamond cut is probably smoother ,the plain version has the 4 corners where as
the diamond cut has none.

Also if you had to choose between a Babycurb or the Franco which would you choose if you could only have one? The franco and baby curb are a set either is good enough but eventually you will need them both.as for 4mm or 5mm dc franco I think a 4mm 22 inch dc franco is perfect.
The 5mm is very thick almost too thick.

If the decision to get an 18 inch is because you like it then go for it.if its a budget thing then consider saving up to make a more confident choice.franco chains outweigh other links by almost double,a rope at 20 or even 22 inches of the same diameter or maybe even fatter may be a better choice.depends on your situation.
Even a baby curb or Miami can offer the same look at a cheaper price allowing you to get a longer chain.
18 inch chains are good but its a smaller market for re sale so you may end up selling it at melt price if you ever want to upgrade.
You have a 22-inch Luke Zion 5.5MM silver chain and a 20-inch Jacoje gold 5MM Franco gold chain. Which length works best for you? Should I have bought a 22-inch 4MM Franco chain instead?
Both are iconic sizes and you will find you will want both

I wanted to get a first chain. I’m torn between 5mm rope, 3mm rope, or 7mm mariner, or smaller mariner. 🦾
All i can say is that if you can afford the 5mm rope it is definitely a timeless chain that you will never grow tired of.Nothing against your other choices but out of the ones you mentioned the 5mm rope is the most popular for a reason.But in the end it really boils down to personal preference. Those would both devalue the Jacoje brand. I don’t want to be wearing a $7,500 22kt gold chain that came from the same guy where you got your $30 silver chain. He also doesn’t have the time to deal with the customer service related to those cheap chains. You make $10 profit on a silver chain and then the customer wants to ship it back for a different one. A waste of time for no money
Never would Braden do that. 10kt gold is borderline cosmetic gold because there are more metals than gold in the chain. Also sterling silver is cheap. Jacoje is FINE jewelry lol he will only sell 14kt+ as well as solid gold.

They are about the same size,the only thing is I wish the length were switched, I wish the 5mm franco would have been 22 inches,and the 6mm rope 20 inches.
