Great final image! Well worth the effort you put in. But how did you get rid of the OIII star halos in Photoshop? You skipped right over how you did it.
Thanks Dave. Sorry I did not go over this, I actually went over this in other videos last year but basically I used the Clone Stamp tool and the Healing Brush tool - this was done very sparingly. I 'fixed' each star/halo separately since each one had their specific issue. Next time I do this I show exactly what I did. - Cheers Kurt
I also like the black and white image. I recently did M101 and just lightly introduced color. More to what you see during visual astronomy. Great job and well worth your time, thanks for sharing.
That's such a cool look for that image Kurt! I love that you got them both in a single frame and then the color is just so unique. It's like getting the detail of the monochrome image but with color added to it.
Thanks so much Joe! The color blend takes a bit of getting used to but I like it. If I had your FOV I would leave the monochrome camera attached to the lens with the filter wheel permanently. I am really impressed with this camera lens. I hope to connect the ASI2600MC up to it and use the iOptron Skyguider pro along with the ASIAIR for a very portable system - at least that is my plan. - Cheers
@@AstroQuest1 That sounds like a great plan! I also forgot to say how much I liked the beginning of your video as well of you opening up the observatory.
Thanks for the great video, Kurt! Pixinsight seems to be the way to go! Your data manipulation looks very easy. I've never looked into it. How much does it cost?

Than you for the comments John a nd that is a good point that it is closer to what you see visually. - Cheers

@@JoesAstrophoto Ha Ha, I am trying to add some of your humor...
@@AstroQuest1 Well I laughed pretty hard, if that tell you anything hahaha
I like the black and white image too!
Thanks Ernie. Yeah I always liked the BW for this region. Cheers
Really nice image Kurt!
Thanks for the comment. Cheers Kurt

Never mind, I just checked their website. It shows at 230 Euros, but it is not clear if it is a yearly fee or one-time expense.
Hi Dom, It is a one time fee, probably one of the best investments in astrophotography. - Cheers Kurt
Nice project! I feel your pain trying to find clear skies, no moon and good viewing directions!
Thanks Richard. It always helps knowing there are others who understand...Cheers
