Brother again love your stuff- but "STROOM" reminded me of a Buncharted video where they as Americans now cringe from US people pronouncing "oo" like the Dutch "oe". OO in Dutch is ALWAYS like 'flow'. 1 O is like in 'shock' but can be like Dutch OO too. and OE = english OO like 'Boomer'. Come on brother you got thissss. Have a Dutch person imprint those 3 on ya. 'Stroom' actually kind of means 'flow'. So maybe that is a good "ezelsbruggetje" for you! :D (donkey bridge. a way to remember things). Keep it up. Happy you're here!!!!

Isn't it great when your performance metric is the output you create and not what hours you're in the office? It gives you so much flexibility in your private life. My boss also doesn't care when I work as long as I get my stuff done in time.
For me it's the first time in 20 years I'm looking forward to Xmas. When you return home after the funeral of a 3 year old, going home to a girlfriend who had a miscarriage the day before 'the most wonderful time of the year' is exactly what you don't want to hear.... And the story is even worse but I won't go into detail. This year however I'm looking forward to a gourmet with my little one and my ex and her boyfriend in Gouda, visit a concert of Jaya the cat in Sittard with my best friend on 2nd Xmas day and having a third strolling Strabrechtse hei with friends I haven't seen in 25 years and my best friend... Enough distraction for me 😊
This may be an unpopular opinion, but: Amsterdam is representative of the Netherlands precisely because the people living in Amsterdam are not. Being able to tolerate just about everything and everyone, the whole live and let live principle, has been a corner stone of Dutch society for centuries. I'd say that the fact that Sky, and his family, are able to live comfortably here is proof that Amsterdam is, somehow, representative of the country.
Hell also representative because of its different neighbourhoods. Noord is suuuuper classically Dutch architecture, meanwhile the Zuidas is much more modern ala Rotterdam, with the rest being a bit in-between the styles, like the rest of the country
@@corporategreed actually I kinda like how you explained it. Like without all the tourist I could actually see a completely different place. And it feels different when your there early mornings.
This is the time of year to hear a fave song by my fave Dutch singer-songwriter. As the dark and cold days are upon us and Christmas is getting closer and closer, classic Christmas evergreens are unavoidable (‘Whammageddon’ anyone?). I like to introduce you this eternal Dutch-made classic from our own greatly underrated Fay Lovsky. It’s from 1981, and she performs most instruments and vocals. It’s a wonderful sweet, mellow and timeless song that makes me long for days gone and can still give me goosebumps today. There is more than Wham and Mariah, so here is the best. Christmas. Song Ever (in my humble opinion that is). (don’t mind the…remarkable… video… ) I hope you will enjoy it: ua-cam.com/video/1ITxuUxC-2s/v-deo.html (and hot chocomel/chocolate-milk - whipped cream optional - is my fave winter hot beverage...)
So... did I get this right..? You do not like Glühwein and you also do not like Markets, and you also do not like Haarlem, now did I get this right...? ;-) So nice to see you feeling at home, and getting cosy in the Dutch way: Gezellig, you are the perfect ambassador for the Netherlands !
Glüh Wein not Gluh Wein, not an oe sound as in shoe, it is an ü or Dutch UU sound like in tür, über, für, etc in dutch huur, schuur puur, etc...NOT AN OU as in You or an oe as in shoe.. so it is NOT "gloo"...
The people watching you whilst drinking gluhwein probably think you are a gluhwein-drinking gang-member because of the hat. Either that or they think you're Steven van Zandt. So when you want to dress a bit non-conforming, you'll have to take the looks for granted. It's the price you pay for being your non-conforming self. But I'm really curious to see you without the hat one time.

Whaaat really!!!
Dude I had no idea!!! Maaan why didn’t you tell me. 😂
Ok next time… I’m just gonna message you for how to’s if I’m unsure how to say something 😅
@@ItzSKYVlogs haha same with words like Stroopwafel. oo = the "oh" sound as in Dome or Hope
Just pullin up 😊
Brother again love your stuff- but "STROOM" reminded me of a Buncharted video where they as Americans now cringe from US people pronouncing "oo" like the Dutch "oe".
It funny you call it shroom 😂😂😂. Its stroom which translates stream, not shroom which is something totally different
4 years 🎉
those wafels you showed aren't dutch.. those are brusselse wafels (belgium)
we have wafels.. stroopwafels they are called... which are dutch..
though als these wafels stands are called hollandse gebakskraam ... which is a bit strange cause those wafels you showed are really from belgium...

Hiep hiep hoera🥳4️⃣ jaar🌷

If people are staring, I think you’re getting famous!
happy annoverserie, hope you guys will stay here. you give me perspective. happy hollydays
Do you enjoy your r52 more than your zve1
Isn't it great when your performance metric is the output you create and not what hours you're in the office? It gives you so much flexibility in your private life. My boss also doesn't care when I work as long as I get my stuff done in time.
@@Dutch1961 ooh yea your sooooo right!! I looove it!
December? If the sky is clear, do astronomy on the sidewalks, if it is clouded,,,stay in doors drink english tea..
congrats with your 4e year here! we gone call you Mr Gluwein lol
You seem to be taking the train so much, wouldn't a reduced off-peak subscription be worth it?
Question is, are you drowning those patatjes in mayonnaise or what!!!!!!
Glühwein is a German word, so I guess it comes from Germany or Austria originally
@@Blackadder75 yea I think you’re right. The first time I had it was in Germany.. second time was actually in Austria!

Enough distraction for me 😊
@@soepie17 awwww geez!!!!! I’m so sorry!!!! So so sorry I saw this so late!

@@ItzSKYVlogs It was magnificent! You really should go see Jaya the cat...They are in Bibelot in Dordrecht the 23th of may 😉
This may be an unpopular opinion, but: Amsterdam is representative of the Netherlands precisely because the people living in Amsterdam are not.
@@AnymMusic ooooh good point!!!
(don’t mind the…remarkable… video… ) I hope you will enjoy it: ua-cam.com/video/1ITxuUxC-2s/v-deo.html
(and hot chocomel/chocolate-milk - whipped cream optional - is my fave winter hot beverage...)
Oooohhhh snapppo!!!!! I’m gonna have to check it out!
@ItzSKYVlogs And, did you?
That song is from our small ass country??
@@AnymMusic Indeedy. Why so surprised? 😗
So... did I get this right..? You do not like Glühwein and you also do not like Markets, and you also do not like Haarlem, now did I get this right...? ;-) So nice to see you feeling at home, and getting cosy in the Dutch way: Gezellig, you are the perfect ambassador for the Netherlands !
Glüh Wein not Gluh Wein, not an oe sound as in shoe, it is an ü or Dutch UU sound like in tür, über, für, etc in dutch huur, schuur puur, etc...NOT AN OU as in You or an oe as in shoe.. so it is NOT "gloo"...
@@SideWalkAstronomyNetherlands ahhhhhhhhh got ya!!! Ayye thanks man!!! You always looking out and helping me! Thank you!

It's. GET THE LANGUAGE FIXED !! I still get this french lady voiceover. Change your settings at UA-cam please.
