This was the first time I've ever played Fortune Cup, or ANY horse racing game. This particular machine was located at New York-New York Casino in Las Vegas.
Honestly, I have NO IDEA what I'm doing on this game. HAHA! Maybe I should read the rules before I play.
Anyway, I might play this game again, once I figure out what all the bets mean and how it works.

I just played this game at the Wynn/Encore. It looks like they updated the screen and it is easier to read what you are doing.
I was doing OK at just picking the winner, but I had more luck when I started looking at the Quinella bets. The machine I was on also showed you the last 30 races what odds won and what odd quinella pairs won., so you could get an idea of what odd horses give you the best chance to win.
Pretty fun. I can't sit at a slot machine for more than 10 minutes without getting bored, but I liked this game.
This video was actually so helpful, thank you so much. Gambling has always been so confusing to me and watching you try to figure out the game helped me to figure it out.
You must hit the green huge button on the top of the screen, advanced options, it shows previous results by horses...great info.

It's fun to sit around and have a few cocktails. If you noticed, all the horses are named after Konami slot machines. I'll usually put a $1 on the highest odds, just for kicks and giggles. Thanks for sharing this game. Happy New Year!!!

Back in 1977 I was in Truckee Nevada at a truck stop and they had one of these horse racing machines . I put 25 cents in and made a bet not knowing anything about it. I didn’t know it but I had bet on the long shot and it won . I made $25.00 Tried it one more time and lost so I gathered all my quarters in my pocket and left a winner.
Can’t tell you how much I have lost in the next 40yrs. But it has been a lot.

@@mafiafonnz the ratio means the best odds. i bet on the horse with 2-1 odds and it won at least 75% of the time.

If you're thinking it's "rigged", consider for a moment that the basic rules for ALL gambling games are set up to favor the house. And as such, there is NO NEED for a casino to cheat, as they will ALWAYS win in the long run.

I was just there...there’s a new updated version now and it’s only 6 horses to choose from now instead of 8
Interesting. Maybe a couple of the horses broke down and they're fixing them.
Inside the Casino no they completely changed the machine...it’s only 6 horses now and instead of 5.9 or 2.3 odds it’s only 2X 4X 7X and so forth
