Richmond International Raceway
September 8, 2007
The 26th race of the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series is at Richmond International Raceway as Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, and others compete to make the Chase for the 2007 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup. The reaction of Junior missing the Chase was huge and in my opinion was another step towards the downfall of DEI. Due to tape length, I did not get the intro and the winner circle's interview.
Ricky Rudd crashed heavily at California Speedway the previous week, which caused him to miss the next five races starting here in Richmond. It broke his Ironman streak of 788 consecutive starts, which dated back to 1981. Kenny Wallace had to take over in this race. Jeff Gordon would go on and take the Ironman status in 2015 with 797 consecutive starts.
This is also ABC's first NEXTEL Cup race since the 2000 Brickyard 400.

I cannot tell you how happy I am to see that someone has finally posted this race! Thank you so much!
I remember as a kid in 07 it felt like every race was top 5, top 10 car and boom engine blew. I feel like teresa was sabotaging jrs season once he announced he was leaving.
That Elvis car was awesome.
do you happen to have the 2007 sharp aquos 500? ive been looking for this race for a long time, in good condition.
my first nascar race. and it was my favorite drivers (labonte) 500th career start. I have the shirt (somewhere) to prove it. I even watched the busch race the day before with him in it too. When I got out of the car while qualifying was going on(with another family that invited me), it WAS LOUD AS HELL for just one car. I sat in the middle between 1 and 2 for both races so I saw the whole backstretch. I cheered when montoya wrecked and laughed at two jr fans sitting behind me when he blew up.
Junior actually said that they deserve to be in the chase that obviously isn't true 2007 was one of his Worst years of Dale Earnhardt Junior's career not every bad thing she had in 2017 was because of him blowing up a lot of ways because they just didn't have good equipment that year but to be fair to Junior I don't think he really meant what he said you could see in his face he was making no we do ain't got no chance of winning 3 times like Tony Stewart the year before
Do you have 2005 Second Martinville race
+Timothy Howard I think I do. If I find it, I can put it up.
Thanks
My very first NASCAR Cup Series race that I have ever attended. I said "Ha-Ha!" like Nelson Muntz usually did on "The Simpsons" when Montoya's car was being hauled back to the garage.
Dale Jr was cursed with engine failures in 2006
Why is this on VHS? It was 2007! VHS was dead even then.
Maybe because the DVD recording was too expensive. Heck I still recorded races on VHS in 2010
I did it for a while, too. No shame in VHS.
@@joshjarnagin3161 Same, we didn't get an HD DVR at our house until 2011. The VHS was putting in work.
VHS was still popular in TV recording, just search up tv commercials from 2006-2013 and you will still see VHS recordings, I still record stuff on VHS.
i used VHS in 2007
