the conversation between him skep & giggs was probably skeppy tryin to be all deep the whole time while wiley just says rarara and giggs saying "ya know dem ones"
Wiley is so next level, he shy's away from what he has actually achieved, we could get another 7 interviews and the guy will still have so much to say....................100% RATINGS!!!
"i can remember when he was clashing stormin, saying a maaaaaaadness" "the manager is the reason why he's a trillionaire any-way." "my mans been sailing through his career on a ding-y boat the whole time." "me myself, i aint taking my 450 000 and buying an ex council grotty old yard" the way wiley talks is pure entertainment. the thing he said about BITC was some realness though. respect.
Literally agreed with everything he said, Wiley is so brutally honest, Post and Vis knew they had to rinse him lol! I'm just watching like yes, yes, YES! ratings
+Kyle Davies no because he ain't got any bars or flow. Forget talking gun or bad man talk, he just ain't a top mc simple, so real mc's don't need to rate him. I respect his moves & money he makes, that's what it's about. But real mc?? Naaaahhhh, "I got so many clothes I leave some at my aunts house"??? He got lucky with the pass out beat, which made da tune big, not his lyrics. Also I don't like da way he keeps GFRSH down, like he's just a tour opening hype man now, signed him to control him & never game him the proper push & exposure. Cos he knows GFRSH is much better then him & will take the shine at disturbing London
+Real.london.streets Real.london.streets not going to lie a lot of that may be true his chart songs are dumbed down but is albums especially his first one was good even the songs that didn't come out in the charts had bars and in that like or love it song with j Cole was decent and in his mixtape he did last year , I mean I know he's not on avelino or wretch 's level lol
i agree with wiley. boy in da corner is the only classic grime album. and wiley hasnt had a classic album. kanos was brilliant, but not as uncomprimised as dizzee's, it was diluted with a bit of commercial tint. dizzees told a perfect story, had amazing lyrics, electronic grimey instrumentals (before it was even called grime). everyone else has got classic songs like ps and qs and eskimo. if wiley filtered down tunnel vision, into an album of 122. that could be a classic. just my opinion.
Dizzee made a smart move to be the first guy to release a grime album, that played to his advantage back then. JME integrity is a classic I don't give a fuck
Disagree. Kano's sound might not have the pure grime sound that Dizzee's has but it is still categorised as grime and has undeniable quality that has stood the test of time. I would say Ghetto Gospel is a classic. Tales From The Crypt, Playtime is Over also. Konnichiwa and Made in The Manor may also be regarded as classics in the future. Obviously this isn't good enough for a scene that has been around for as long has grime has.
what wiley said about this country was so true! you gotta get your money and relocate!! London is a BUMP people risking going to court everyday cos they cant pay for their oyster
It's mad how after this interview bare man inside their hearts will be offended for Wiley just speaking HIS truth and saying how he truly feels. The Grime/UK Rap scene used to be like this, there were real men telling their truth and they weren't afraid of who they offended. Now we have artists who care more about protecting their relationships. The authenticity of the music like Wiley says comes from the pain and you don't feel it anymore. Yes we get really good music and albums but nothing with soul in it. If you're a real you would never be offended by someone telling you how they feel because we all think differently
wiley my biggest barrer.....since pay as you go.....sitting in my bedroom reciting oi it's the paper boy......but.....he used to say he is not the godfather of grime and doesn't like being called it....now all of a sudden he is?????? I'm just glad he came to his senses.....the man's a fuckin genius
Steven Gerrard Granted; I'd understand if Tinie was struggling financially but he's not - he's hardly being pimped out. Tinie's gone clear and he's very successful, thus the puppet comment doesnt add up
Everyone wants chip on, but we know most of his story. I rather have ice kid man disappeared for years I reckon his story is more interesting and deep. Big up chip still bad boy mc
+Joe Williams the only interesting thing I want to know about is his move to U.S and why he flopped and who influenced him to do it. But he would keep quiet
apparently, it was something about a bike crash, something about how he thought it was a sign from GOD to not make more music in the U.S, then came back to grime.
+Kyrie J he got into quad bike accident when he was about to fly into LA. Almost died, thought it was a sign from god to drop the mainstream american music shit. Stopped making music for a while and dropped the deal . Realised it's time to rep uk now
Wiley perfectly summed up what I think about Giggs' album, it's good, but when you've listened to a lot of his work, especially the old stuff, like best of giggs 2/3, you know he's got more in the tank than what he gave on the album.
Fully agree with Wiley, 'Boy in the corner' is the only classic album in Grime history - no debate. And i would argue against Posty's point about 'Home sweet home' making people want to rap. The way i remember it 'Ard Bodied did more to birth a new generation of UK rappers then 'Home sweet home' ever did. I'm a big Kano fan too and it's a shame he's not bigger than he is considering how talented of MC he is, but lets not get into any revisionism just because we all generally want to see Kano do well, 'Home sweet home' was good, i think it was the last physical CD i ever bought, but it wasn't and will never be a Grime classic.
Why was Wiley trying to discredit Kano though? When Kano came out, he set the bar so high in terms of skill and quality output. Nobody had ever seen that before. His level of skill was unprecedented, he changed the whole lyrical landscape of grime. Nobody was technical, using metaphors and all that before Kano. I think Wiley is still bitter because Kano washed him in that LOTM clash lol
because when someone has been relevant in the music industry for 20 or so years 14 of which he was building a genre alot of question need to be asked that were not the first time,
I loved Giggs new album however I think he missed out that greezy slow flow and a crazy beat on his new album, nonetheless loved to see where he has gone seeing his background
Archie you have never met chip in your life or know his story😂 don't let music fool you into thinking you know how people are like😂 if he had a shit personality he wouldn't sell his album for free just and cut off ties with T.I. just to come back to his family in Tottenham and I'm pretty sure people like Skepta and Kano wouldn't tolerate a shit personality 😂
I just like that he's from our era, knows where he came from, did his ting and now gets to live in a way dat works for him. My sister is 8 yrs younger than me and in a time when I was an aspiring dj heavily into HLC she rocked Boy in da corner, naturally I took the cd and blasted it in my car, so for me that album does have bible status, no matter his differences with Dizzie, he still said that, and I rate him for it coz in my opinion it true. Although when I think of the godfather I think of Creed on da mic...ghu ghu ghu ghu doin it again. but of grime, Wiley will always be da originator. Big up

wiley keeps it so real especially bout tinie being a puppet, big up him and nftr
I know Wiley is a true don always
No banter but if you could elaborate on the puppet remark by Wiley, I'd appreciate that
Cartizel he is saying that everything about tinies is made by label to make them profit, they are using him as a cash puppet.
Steven Gerrard Granted; I'd understand if Tinie was struggling financially but he's not - he's hardly being pimped out. Tinie's gone clear and he's very successful, thus the puppet comment doesnt add up
Cartizel mate how do you think he went clear, because it was not his talent ...it was what the label have done to him
