Nice, Corvus is my main damage dealer on my undead team. With Morrigan and Dorian on the team, there is a lot of chance for him to replenish his health.
My main damage dealer is Keira, when I face Corvus one thing that usually works is placing her next to Dorian. This has limits, as it rules out all heroes that stamd between them (that's a lot), but a Keira with vampirism will shred Corvus immediately after he set his altar with multiple ultimates. This holds for most damage dealers (but not for Helios, for example).
Hence "usually", it also prevents use if Sebastian and Isaac, and will crash if the enemy has multiple armor artifacts. There are always exceptions and you must be able to offer several different solutions.
7:52 "hard counter" is not the right word here, I actually hate it when it gets thrown out incorrectly as it creates incorrect assumptions, especially when they lose a fight using specific heroes. While Corvus is a hard counter to Yasmine for most of these heroes he's more of a "soft counter" or simply just good DPS. Hard counter is a hero who is 100% effective against another hero. Some examples of hard counters: Corvus vs. Yasmine, Helios vs Yasmine, Morrigan vs. Rufus, Sebastian vs Satori. There actually isn't a whole lot of true hard counters in Hero Wars, most counters in Hero Wars are what is known as "soft counters". Some examples of soft counters: Martha vs Jhu, Martha vs Karkh, Andvari vs Lars, Dorian vs Lars, Dorian vs Cleaver, Aurora vs Martha, The list of soft counters is very extensive and goes on and on.
I agree except for one caveat: Corvus doesn't counter terribly well heroes that do mostly pure damage. when I summoned Iris, I thought she'd be hard countered by Corvus, since she does a lot of AOE damage, but max testing proved it not to be the case. perhaps she'd eventually die to Corvus's totem, but with her op grey ability she kills Corvus way before that happens. similar thing for Keira blender. I think in Coco's video on Corvus, they said the totem reflects 100% of physical or magical damage applied, not the value of it minus armor or magic defense (damage taken). that's why pure damage is the way to counter him.
Thanks for the info. I haven't fully understand hero wars mobile cuz I just recently play this like almost 3 months plus im at lvl 88. I got Morrigan early on and started using her. It took me 4 months to get Corvus, but I spent the time to level him up, now I am using him with Morrigan and Phobos. One thing I discovered is he pulls Galahad back from his charges into the enemy team and that has helped keep him alive.
Using Galahad with him is a good idea. I bet that that works with Luther, too...and if you don't have Luther, but have Faceless copying an enemy Luther, then you can get Faceless back. Brilliant! Do you know of any other heroes that move their teammates?
Hi Eugene, long time not been able to reply you on Discord, apologies! Every day is just a week too short, even more so since HW is in our lives! Great to see you still posting a lot here on YT! Anyway, Royal Defense works for Luther, but also against Luther, and some other heroes. It is very much a double edged sword. Like when we want Luther to hit Martha's tea pot and he gets dragged back before he gets healed, that ruins that strategy. Or when Martha is supposed to cover the back vs a Jhu or Jorgen (Leper), but just before her basic attack self heal kicks in she gets dragged into the centre and boom! Exposed is Helios/Phobos/whatever weaker hero that was relying on Martha to cover the backline.
You didn't mention how Alter of Souls works with Axel's Bubbles of Justice. This is probably the most important interaction with skill set as Bubbles of Justice turns all magic and physical damage into AE damage. All of those heroes that only hit "one target", if Bubbles of Justice is up they end up hitting 5 targets instead 1 so they get pinged 5 times by the Alter. This is the biggest reason Corvus has a lot potential and why, on paper he is good versus most heroes because he has such great damage potential. I don't know if he will ever be an actual good "tank" but if you think of him as DPS hero instead instead of a tank hero then it's a lot easier to justify investing in him. If you want to use him, you really do have to have the mindset that he's a DPS and not a tank, and then you want to level up Aurora to be your actual tank so she can sit in front of him. Because Corvus' physical attack skins don't really do much for him, you can actually skip them, you just need his strength skin because health is the stat that determines his alter damage and the main reason he makes a good DPS character.
I regret every resource I invested into Aurora. But then in a year or so, Corvus will have a half dozen hard counters as well, and I'll probably regret that decision also.

It would take a miracle for him to dislodge Sebastian as the most popular hero on Facebook, he is OP and the entire metagame is warped around him. Corvus' ult is pretty much worthless because Sebastian is ubiquitous and nullifies it like so many other abilities, so the only value is the armor buff and a bit of physical damage, I guess it's better than Astaroth's ult but that's not saying much. Corvus also needs some health and/or armor skins instead of mostly worthless physical attack skins, because he's too squishy to actually be effective as a main tank and as it stands now he struggles to be a main tank. He does great amounts of pure damage but because he's so squishy he usually dies pretty quickly limiting the amount of damage he can actually do so to actually use him for damage it's best as a second tank behind Aurora, or perhaps Cleaver, he's 4th is line-up so there is only 3 tanks he can sit behind limiting his options further, the only other option is Chabba who isn't worth using. Aurora is already the top tank followed by Cleaver, so you should invest in one of those heroes first before thinking about Corvus. Though he at least has potential which is more than can be said about Ziri who needs a full on rework. Address his survivability issues so that he can actually be a viable tank in his own right, but until that happens he's limited to playing second fiddle to Aurora.
Corvus is my main dmg dealer if I’m not using Keira on mobile. My 370k+ undead team solves the most complex tasks in guild wars. Twins/Satori/Amira/Xe’sha - whatever. I would say you don’t need the armor skin for Corvus - in my case he works even worse because of the late ultimate. Corvus has Morrigan as an insane healer, better push her instead of the armor.
Actually Dorian counter Corvus pretty hard. Heidi or Artemis with vampirism goes off like crazy, cause they heal so much. The same goes for celeste, but she doesnt need Dorian, cause her spec heals herself
Dorian counters Corvus? :D Sorry, not serious case, Dorian himself is a victim of Corvus altar. Of course, there are Corvus teams which can be countered by Heidi under Dorian, however, Heidi himself can be victim to allies of Corvus, for example, Phobos and Judge. Therefore, you need not to counter Corvus, but you need to exploit the weakness within a team which is lead by Corvus (and there is always at least one weakness within each team, btw!).
The problem with Corvus on FB/Web is that there are only 3 Undead heroes - Corvus, Morrigan and Phobos, so he won't boost a whole team, like on Mobile. Also, Corvus has crappy Armor on FB, and didn't get an Armor skin. Corvus is one of my Top 4 Tanks, but he can die quite quickly, especially if he's not paired with Morrigan. I don't understand why Keira, the one hero with the clearest Undead origin story, is not Undead on FB/Web? I went out of my way, raising Corvus and Morrigan, hoping FB would get a full Undead team, but only Phobos got that designation.
While we agree on the lore part, Undead Keira would make a lot of sense, we guess the devs fear she would get too OP if she also gets the Undead boosts? And thus unbalance the game?
on my server not that many people use Corvus, he is really strong and I could probably create a nice corvus deck but for me I just don’t want to play with him, Aurora is for me a better hero, just like her a lot more than Corvus

I disagree with almost everything you say here, and would go so far as to say you didn't watch (or didn't understand) the video at all.
@@HeroWarsCentral I watched the whole video.
I got Corvus in the Heroic Chest!!
Wow I have never seen a hero who counters so many, usually it's one or two. Guess who I'm leveling from now on?
He does to be fair
Corvus moving someone to the center would be bad if the enemy is using Lilith
no, it would be very nice, if Corvus moves Cornelius to the center that Lilith can be killed :)
Lilith is hard-countered by a weak Phobos. Not a big deal at all.
He's my Main Tank
Royal defense with Dorian.
Very useful skill against Cleaver's Putrefaction.
Therefore, you need not to counter Corvus, but you need to exploit the weakness within a team which is lead by Corvus (and there is always at least one weakness within each team, btw!).
thx
Corvis helps counter Yasmine : )
How do you get Heidi on mobile?
Good video
The king
I think they are breaking the rule, they can give sixth skin to other before giving corvus 4th skin
amira is comming out on facebook and web
she might not but it was shown and it looked like amira
Galasad is my tank :)
good video
corvus on web is op to counter all hero that deals damage over time!
and i like to level him! with asta on mobile
So the nee hero on mobile wasn't an April fools prank
Corvus is my main tank on my new acct
We need him but you dont have him leveled up
Crazy
Jorgen and Andvari both can prevent pure damage with their sheilds.
Ive only attacked one person and altar still kills my full team so it doesnt counter sh1t even if your heroes doesnt do aoe damage
on my server not that many people use Corvus, he is really strong and I could probably create a nice corvus deck but for me I just don’t want to play with him, Aurora is for me a better hero, just like her a lot more than Corvus
i want to believe you.. but then why is your Corvus only level 1? ; P
way ahead of this story, 2 years allready
Astrid is pretty good counter
Not in FB/Web, where Astrid and Lucas is countered by Sebastian, Qing Mao, Dante, Phobos and magic damage dealers.
@@elkr79 for Corvus specifically, and usually in the tower where she can launch immediately through proper management.
@@foyjamez Tower victories and Adventure victories are partially fake victories because of buffs. No chances for mediocre Astrid and Lucas in Arena and Grand Arena. And, by the way, some Chabba & Elmir teams can counter Corvus easier than Astrid and Lucas.
I can never find a clear way how to counter Corvus, he’s a big problem for me.
Tough to invest in a new tank.
undead team moringa,corvus,phobos.....and where is keira, dante and dorian?... are they not undead?
Not sure about Dante, but yeah, the other two definitely are undead in their lore. I'm guessing they didn't make keira undead because the buffs corvus and morrigan would give her would be too much.
@@OwlMoovement but if dante is a zombie...doesn't it count?
@@lucasrivas9623 Not sure if it's different on mobile than on FB/Web, but his blurb only says that he is a soultaker of sorts. The story on the fandom page describes him as an animated statue. A golem, maybe, but not a zombie.
@@OwlMoovement ok......gracias
no era lo que esperaba pero estoy satisfecho
I ve never lost with my Yas team to Corvus, ever. So I dont know bro :) And they were sometimes quite strong teams(stronger in power). Ou yeah, maybe once. When morrigan spawned over and over small minions and I didnt have the Aoe in the team and my Yas was focusing and jumping on minions(in auto mode).
Curious to know, what is your Yaz vs Corvus strat?
@@yernaristeliyev181 Murder Corvus fast, before He starts to be efective. And I build up team around it to do it fast. He places altar sometimes, but mostly for few seconds, which boosts my isaac or other supports anyway like Seb. I use Axel usually. Depends on the team comp. I am not fully leveled, so maybe its different, I dont know :)
30 sept. 2020 you posted a video that corvus was the worst tank...
Corvus doesn't counter every hero.
Will the new hero be a tank?
You mean Amira? She's a mage
@@vincenolien8379 I don't know its name. I just saw an announcement on Hero Wars' Discord page about a new hero coming to Web.
Look it up on the Hero wars mobile if the silhouette matches to Amira's shape
who counters Corvus? Nebula alone can't really beat Corvus teams
Stuck in ghirvil city..
First One Here
Legendary
AMAZING!!!! [claps hands in congratulations and admiration]

My Karch team has never lost to an undead team, even 100k+ more powerful. Undead are nearly as weak as Twin teams. Corvus and his little undead biotches are worthless.
I love to ruin K'arkh teams with undead: I love that K'arkh transforms into dirty rug after attack of Phobos :)
Lol, on mobile undead doesn’t even need Andvari to kill Karkh. Karkh with Nebula is suicidal against undead. Karkh is an “always go” on arena and GW, worst hero on defense.
h aha haha, you try to sell a heavily nerfed tank? you always try to mislead players for nexters money... don't invest to Corvus, he is not good anymore after the totem nerf..
Totem was not nerved, don't spread lies.
Can you go into a bit of detail how it was nerfed?
@@2drealms196 longer activation and cool down time, new gap between opponent damage and totem damage, less damage against some heroes (heidi for example)
