Great video. I carried extra gloves leather and latex. I learned from my training with Chicago FD, I carried a switchblade knife not for protection but in case we became entangled in wires. A large piece of chalk a collapsible Spanner wrench wooden wedges and a small flashlight that fit in the palm of my hand.
I have a gut belt on my gear with a ladder hook so if I'm on the ladder company I don't have to get a ladder belt out of the compartment or I can hook in to a ground ladder and not have to do a leg lock. I do put my radio strap under my coat because I had an instructor show me how it can cause you to become in tangled. I do like the short piece of webbing I have a long piece with my gear now that I can cut down
