    My god this is beautiful you are a true performer. The choreography with this song. I can’t explain it in any other way other than this is exactly why I started to skate- for moments like this. You looked BEAUTIFUL. Good job and as another comment pointed out I think it’s fascinating to see that you jump and spin on different sides. Awesome ❤

    May I ask you how long have you been skating? I ask because I am an adult just starting (2months now) and I love watch other adults succeeding like you! It gives me drive 😻

    Nice extension and pointed toes. You could do with more speed - you would have landed your lutz with some more speed. But it is harder when your doing a competition, mouth dry, legs like jelly. Nice skate and well done.

    Очень красивый прокат! Жаль, что лутц не получился. Это было неожиданно. Но главное, что дальнейшая программа не пострадала. Она была великолепна! Поздравляю!

      Hi guys! I am also a clockwise skater, jumps and spins. I hear that is the minority. Now I'm learning that split direction skaters exist and apparently that is even rarer! FUN 😮 Interesting how the mind and body works so differently for people. Much love and blessings to all my fellow adult skaters!

    This was very good. I’m 41 and thinking of getting started. I loved all those skills you showed. What level as an adult do you start competing?

    • @Adultskater
      @Adultskater  Рік тому +1

      I started with Pre-Bronze and I’ve been working my way up to Silver 🥰

      I started at 40. With continuous lessons I would have been competing at 6 months in at the adult pre-bronze level. 🎉 you can do it!❤

    Adult skater here as well, and you did amazing! Are you working on an axel yet? If so, how is that coming along with jumping one way, and spinning the other (I'm a leftie, btw)?

  • @cedmonds525

    Great job! How graceful! Did u start as an adult or had you competed younger?

  • @kristinakinnunen7094

    Why are you spinning and jumping on different directions? That's a wrong way to do it. I'm suprised that you were allowed to do that in a competition.

    • @Adultskater
      @Adultskater  Рік тому +2

      There’s actually no rule that says it’s wrong, but I agree you really shouldn’t learn to do spins and jumps in opposite directions. You’re absolutely allowed to do it in competition, hence me doing so 😂 unfortunately for me, I taught myself how to jump and spin as an adult and didn’t know that I was doing this until it was far, far too late. I’m trying to learn to spin both ways at this point but for now my lefty spins are far superior to my righty ones and it makes no sense to do a worse spin for competition.

      Sonja Henie, Carol Heiss, John Curry, and Marius Negrea all jumped a different direction than they spun. Skate whichever direction feels right to you.
