The groove is for the German market. It has a special law, that your pocket knife can have a locking system, or a one hand opening method, but both is not allowed. Siriouly, this is not a joke. :-) You remove the thumb stud and can carry the Escort.
That is not right. One handed opening with locking mechanism is not legal to carry in germany. It has nothing to do with the Nummer of opening methods. One handed and lock >>> not legal to carry. Only two handed opening with lock or slipjoint and friction folders are allowed to carry. Greetz from germany 😉
😅telling someone online to shut up, let alone the maker of the video you watched? He gave an overview of the knife. I prefer the honesty. He spent a couple seconds on it as is.

@@wilde1380 I wrote the same. :-)

Such a good knife, but then I can't think of a Kizer I have met that I didn't like.

I feel like if this had a true scandi grind and were a little larger, it would make for a great bushcraft foler.
Sure has that look to it!
I purchase my 2 months and change the studs for red one best investment😊
The pocket clip is fine. Shut up.

But it is still a one handed folder for the law. Even when you delete the thumb stud it is not legal to carry.
Also i bet i can use the Fuller to open it with my thumb one handed
If the Police-officer can Flick it open by Gravity it is a one handed opening. Our laws are crazy and dumb.

Ah yes, I tend to forget about this! I reviewed the Real Steel Phasma Free which employed this exact same opening
