You guys are so cute and now you have a cute Ming Ming! To help with the smell, I agree you should train him to go in a litter box. Try to find the clumping litter so when he pees in it you can scoop it out and put it in a garbage bag. Same for poop. LOL. Good Luck!

Yes, it’s better to have Ming gets into a litter box. He does go to the pile of little stones like your side yard thinking it’s okay to litter on it. She doesn’t litter on his bed or anywhere except in the little stones and sand. He will be trained to do that.
Might have to start getting that putty cat som cat litter. The scented kind!

Cats are social creatures. They like company. They will also change where they’re sleeping as an adaptation. It’s important for their safety. Sometimes when they feel secure, they will feel comfortable leaving a bit of food in their bowl and come back to it knowing no one will eat it. I never noticed my cat smelling at all. I guess the litter absorbs it. Maybe it smells bad because of his digestive tract. You’re doing great with him. He loves you and you both love him. I think he’s so cute and I enjoy his personality. He’s quite a little character! The sun rises here in Canada at 7 a.m. and sets at 4:40 p.m. Snow hasn’t seriously started yet. I love you both. You make me laugh.😅❤

Hey guys 😁. Unfortunately, you can expect for the dog to make his way all the way down the fence row (it's a challenge for the dog and they don't give up 😂). Since you do not like chain-link fence, until you put in a concrete/ block wall around the property I think you will have a problem.
