- Last year I successfully applied to Imperial College London, but I found there wasn’t much advice on yt about what makes a successful application. So today’s video is all about the application and admissions process - from some general statistics, and what qualities they’re looking for in a candidate, to the interview process and admissions tests, as well as reflecting on my own personal experience - I’ve got it all covered!! I hope this gives you a clear guide on how to go about beginning your application to Imperial & I’m wishing you all the best of luck!!

@@CaitzAnnie Hi Caitz, i applied at Imperial on September 22, 2022 and received and email on September 23, 2022 that my application has been cleared by Admissions team and sent to my course Department for consideration. Any idea how much time it would take?

Hello. At 12:45 , are you referring to students only applying to certain courses at Imperial? I am looking to apply to Aeronautical Engineering and the admissions process details are quite unclear on the site.
I believe there is a maths test which applicants invited to interview must complete, but there doesn't appear to be an admission test I can find
Thanks for the detailed video…Could you please clarify what are admissions timelines / deadline for the admissions to academic year 2022 - 23…. And is IELTS needed for international students? Thanks in advance 🙏
Hi Caitz, thank you so much for the information. I have a question Are all courses required to pay deposit to get Unconditional LoA or it's just applied to some courses?
Hey
Thank you for the video !
If i may ask, can I apply to imperial by having a foundation year at Ucl or Warwick Ifp ?
And if so, how frequent & easy is it?
Thanks 🙏
Thumbs up for this
Hi caitz!
Thank you for this video. It was helpful.
I have applied to Public Health PG degree at Imperial and am invited for an interview. Do you recommend if I call the admission team and ask them what they really look for when making an offer? I reslly want to make sure that I secure the offer. So far could not find something exactly on it.
Thanks
Hi Suraya! Thanks so much for watching, I'm glad the video was helpful. And congratulations on your interview invite, that's great! If you give the admissions office a call, I'm sure they would be more than happy to answer any questions you have, but just be aware that they may not be able to give you overly specific answers to your questions as they cannot give out any information that would give one applicant an advantage over other applicants without that info if that makes sense? But having said that I think it's a great idea to give them a call and try to get your questions answered, particularly if it will help to put your mind at rest a bit. Hope that helps :)
Hi, great info. What was your MAT score which you thought was marginal?
Great explanation Caitz..
That was fantastic and good luck on your journey 👍🏼👍🏼
In our live sometimes we move on wrong direction but when we figure out the best way to seccuss [[ we begin]] ..
I took the wrong direction so I want to apply to imperial college and study second bachelor degree ( aerospace engineering), my question is that available for international students to study second bachelor degree? And how we can apply?
Thanks
imperial alum here, compsci ... imperial works its students really hard (not including mbas!)
hi can know what a levels and how many gcses what you got and any work expérience or extra curricular activities ? thanks
Hi, sorry for commenting on a pretty old video but I hope you still check old comments. I plan to apply for ICL in Summer 2023 for a degree in mathematics (same as you did) and I was just wondering what your application portfolio looked like. I too take 3 subjects (Maths, Further Maths and Physics) which kind of worried me because it would make my application less competitive. Did you do anything else in which was worth noting, like Olympiads, competitions and so on?
Yeah you should certainly go for Olympiads and refine your finesse ! Its gonna give dividend for sure !

Hi did u got in ?
Hello caitz!! I would really like to know about how to get in cause i've recently started my 12th grade and how can i apply for imperial college and what all exam's are needed please let me know ( im a medical stud ) . And tyvm for this video ❤
Hi Grace! That's great that you're going to apply for Imperial! What exam syllabus are you following (e.g. A-Levels, IB, APs etc)? And are you a home or international student? If you let me know, I can give you further advice on entry requirements etc. For medicine you'll also need to sit the BMAT which is a medical admissions test used by some unis, of which Imperial is one. Depending on your performance in this test they will then select candidates for interview, and then further select who to make offers to. I hope that helps a little :))
hello Caitz
I'm an international student and I want to apply for Imperial but I really don't know what exams should I take and how to apply and what is the UCAS ! I want to study Aeronautical Engineering
What now?
Hello annie . Can you please tell me about this
If i have one year gap after my bachelor's . Can i get admission in this college. Does this cause a problem or not ....
This video was really useful. I’ve got a question, currently I am in year 12 doing my A levels and I want to apply for imperial for mechanical engineering could you tell me do I need to do any test after my a levels?
Thanks
there is an online admissions exam that is 60 mins long on physics and maths equivalent to AS level. I'm literally doing it this Friday.

wait do u apply in year 12 or 13?
I want to study Civil Engineering at Imperial? Are there any interviews?. I want to apply to Imperial to do Civil Engineering and I'm in year 12
hello ,i have having a doubt that someone told me that imperial take admission for class 11 is it true can u plz clarify my doubt do it take ......??
Hi Caitz😊 I'm currently studying in the 12th grade(phy, chem, math) in India and I'd really love to study Aeronautical Engineering here. What exams should I write? Any scholarships?
Thank you.
As far as I know for Aeronautics you have to take an exam called AMAT to test your knowledge (you will take this examen after you applied to Imperial and they have read your application, it's an exam taken online). I think there aren't specific scholarships for Aeronautics but you can always search for loans, bursaries or others that aren't offered at the web
Hey im from india and currently studying in 12th ,and due to pandemic exams are postponed.. so can i still apply of imperial College of london?
Hi, you would have to wait until the next admissions cycle to apply (starting next September) but yes I think you can still apply. Exams have been cancelled here in the UK for the last 2 years and also in many other countries, so the universities are used to dealing with different exam arrangements as a result of the pandemic. The best advice I can give is to email the Imperial admissions office explaining your situation and if they confirm that you are eligible to apply, then you know for definite and can start your application! I hope that helps a bit :)
hello ive promoted to 12th this year. I;m 17 years old. Did you get it???
Hello i am Mahdi. Thanks for your explanation.I study in one of the Iranian universities;physic....Can I be accepted for a master's degree?I love this university and I want to be there for my doctorate.
My scores are 18 out of 20
My language score is 6.5 on IELTS
I can not afford it. Can I get a scholarship?
Finally, please help
Hi Mahdi, thanks so much for watching! That’s great that you are looking to study at Imperial, it’s a really strong uni! Unfortunately I don’t know too much about postgraduate applications, but the best thing I can advise you to do is to call or email the postgraduate admissions office. You can explain your academic journey so far and your scores, and also enquire about scholarships. Also I would have a look to see if there is any funding opportunities available in Iran that would perhaps partially fund a masters degree abroad? Hope that helps a bit, but do let me know if you have any more questions and I’ll try my best to help :)
@@CaitzAnnie
Hi;
There is no funding for a master's degree in Iran. Of course, you do not have to pay tuition if you apply for a master's degree at a public university and study there.
But I want to study physics at top universities like Imperial. And England is a good country in that respect.
Thank you very much for answering, dear friend.
@@mahdimirzaee2282 I see, I really hope whoever you get in touch with at Imperial is able to answer all your questions! Let me know how it goes if you do end up applying :)
@@CaitzAnnie sure;
Of course, I am going to apply next year.
If u have predicted grades of AAA, do you really have a chance of medicine at Imperial?
I don't see why not. Your offer is based off your interview. Everything else so your predicted grades, BMAT and personal statement is just to get you that interview
Btw I'm a medical student at imperial
@@gestlineanurue9262 I thought imperial don’t do interviews
@@lith987 idk about other courses but medicine has interviews for any university in the UK
@@gestlineanurue9262 helloo! I have my asynchronous medical interview for imperial in jan, how was your interview?
