My boyfriend is Jewish and I’ve attended several Passover Seders with him and his family. They always make sure to include me and my dietary restrictions and preferences into the meal, even though I am not Jewish. His family really goes out of their way to make me feel included and special to them. That makes me happy.

I attended a Passover Seder a few years ago. It was very moving and made the Exodus so real for me from the point of view of the Jewish people.

The final product looks like it could be a polymer clay miniature. So intricate and beautiful!

While I can appreciate the craftsmanship, the irony is killing me.

This is beautiful! I'm not very familiar with most of the items on your plate (and not at all familiar plate itself!), but it's so pretty, and it makes me want to find out more about this amazing tradition! Thank you so much for sharing, and Happy Easter! 🥰

Hey, I hope you did end up researching. It's an interesting historical topic. Specifically it is not Easter tho. This video is about Passover, which is Jewish. Jews in general do not celebrate Easter, they do Passover. Easter for Christians is about Jesus. Jews do not (generally speaking) call Jesus the son of God. That is why Jews and Christians are two separate religions. Our histories are intertwined, yes, but different.
I just found the comment "Happy Easter" on a Passover video quite amusing. And so I hope this was educational and helpful. No bad vibes, just wanted to share that in case you didn't know. I hope you have a lovely day and get to know all about these interesting topics and points of view. 😊

    Family dinners are really great,
We eat the food and then the plate.

Sabrina H-- It was quite common in the middle ages. A slab of bread might be a "plate", which was eaten after the other food.

Can I assume you made it with a shortbread cookie (i.e., no leavening)?😂😉😝

You could probably make it work with matzoh meal cookies, though that initial flooding of icing would be a pain. It's a gebrochts problem, but the vast majority of Passover baking is.

Not only that, the time between the mixing of the dough and cookie to finish baking must be 18 minutes or less

A lamb shank, a roasted egg, some bitter herbs, matzoh, horseradish, a sort of chutney called charoset made from chopped apples, nuts, cinnamon, and red wine. Everything represents part of the story of Exodus which you retell around the table at the Seder.
