Nice video Piet. The condition of the line seems very uneven. Would you know if it still needs more work on it, after the sleepers were replaced which you filmed.
Yes Mark, the uneveness is very obvious for both directions. Even where they replaced the sleepers on the side coming out to Worcester. I do not have anything on upcoming work. Of course traffic density is very low compared to when Saldanha Steel was still operational.
Thank you Marval. The YQ refers to it as a "special train". Probably more apt. Did not see any passengers on the incoming train, but it seems the train going out did carry passengers, one of which reported that a film crew was on board and the train did stop occasionally in order for the film crew to capture drone footage.
Nice to see the famous Blue Train on the rails again...🚂🚂
Amazing railway video!
What a great pair of captures of this train, Piet! The engineer was very friendly and certainly added to the quality of the catches. Thumbs up!

Nice video Piet. It seems they have turned the train around using the very
same two class 35's
Very true Martin, I have also observed that. I guess they have kind if allocated these units to the BT while in the Western Cape.

Great video Oom Piet, may I ask why you refer to this train as a test train?
