Nice lyrics! One small correction I think might make a little more sense:
Will's lines should say "harder" instead of "hotter" and "luck ain't even lucky" instead of "looking even look".
Oh, and does he say " you're our only hope" or "you're her only hope"?
I'm just going off of the original song on this.
But I appreciate the lyrics. It helps me better understand what's going on here as I've never seen this musical before.
At the school trip I was in the theatre caffe near national gallery in london, and it was like 9 am on tuesday so I was the only client. And they have the best employees. Seriously this nice man who was standing behind th counter and was making shake from Six for me was singing this really well, and when there was this "You know what? I love the "HEREfore art thou Romeo" joke, because any high-school class, pedantic grammar nerd, or even Gnomeo and Juliet can tell you "wherefore" means "why."
It's such a good detail to solidify that, as far as this show is concerned, Will and Romeo are wrong but convinced they're in the right.

Does anyone know what's going on here? I take it Romeo is coming back from the dead somehow and is going to return to Juilet in this song, yes? Who's Will? Who's Anne? Who's April? What is going on in general?
I appreciate some context for this musical.
The premise is that William (Will) Shakespeare and his wife Anne Hathaway are having a dispute about the ending of "Romeo and Juliet".
So Anne rewrites the ending to have Juliet survive.
And April is Anne's self-insert character in the role of Juliet's best friend.
