The offside calls are insane. They should do it so that it needs to be clear and obvious, if it isn't then just give the striker the benefit of the doubt.
And how was that a penalty on Welbeck? Welbeck stuck his leg out in front of Robertson after Robertson had already drew his leg back and committed to clearing the ball, and as a result of that he clipped Welbeck's foot. The game is a joke these days.

@Nelson Banegas It wasn't a clear penalty at all? lol. The first one was, the second one definitely wasn't. Technically it can be considered a foul under the current rules of the game because of the contact, but they shouldn't be giving penalties over a player clipping a foot because the other player moved his leg in the path of the former player's already swinging leg. The ref had a quick look, saw nothing in it and wanted to move on, but then of course effin' VAR has to get involved and we have to concede a penalty over an accidental foot clip, ridiculous.

@@uvie_egua It wasn't clear and obvious, for reasons that I've already explained, and reasons you're too thick to understand.
Robertson didn't get the ball because Welbeck stuck his leg in front of him and changed the balls natural trajectory, as a result Robertson clips his foot.
Yes it can be considered a foul, should it have been? No. It was clearly accidental and wasn't Robertson's intention, which is why the ref wanted to just get on with the game in the first place.
And no, I wouldn't be saying it was a clear penalty if it was the other way around, like I said the first one was an obvious penalty, the second wasn't.

That penalty was one of those.. the tiniest of a technical mistakes, the ball was not near the goal but it was a goal. What a VAR.

I am not convinced that VAR is overturning “clear and obvious” errors. Before the latest Salah “toe-nail offside” incident, you had the Mane “armpit offside” incident against Everton. I thought that VAR was introduced to clear up uncertain situations and avoid drama. Instead VAR has been involved in so many dubious decisions and created drama. I am for VAR - but against the people who run it. Their standard would be acceptable for the second division, but not for PL.

Good point. Also when they first drew the line he was well onside. Then they kept changing the angle until he was just a fraction offside. Between changing the angle and deciding when the ball left the passer’s foot, they can come up with whatever result they want.

FA trying to replicate NBA & NFL review process with VAR but executed it poorly. Too many decisions are proven as mistakes. FA needs to review the success rate of VAR and be transparent about it. I'm a tech guy but technology doesn't always prevail

For Salah’s goal the line was drawn against the Brighton’s player right foot. With his body positioning it’s impossible for his right foot to be the last part of his body, has to be his left shoulder region. Someone should look into this.
