The Doom Turtle! This thing was such a heavy hitter the first few years it was added and I was curious if the big girl still has it. Sadly it appears the barrel has been made by the play-doh company and it's unable to maintain its shape.

I think it's safe to say some of us can relate to having days like this in War Thunder. On a serious note, we have been getting quite frustrated with the lack of a high fire rate Anti Air for the U.S. Line up in the 4.0 to 8.0 Range. I am hoping one day they add the rest of the U.S. Anti Air systems, LAV-25 with the autocannons, the Avenger, or the numerous World War 2 Solutions including the Sherman Anti-Air "The Skink" as an event vehicle. There are numerous options, just something to be more competitive across the Battle Ratings. To be honest, I think I saw an Arado stop at a McDonalds, get lunch, ate it, and then bombed me.
I agree with the lack of AA for American in that range. I’d love to see the skink in the game sometime also
Yeah, there is a severe lack of AA. There needs to be more than just two AA's for a 4 BR range for such a large faction.
We need to find a way to get the skink in game that would be the greatest thing ever
Glad I'm not the only one, M19/M42 is just painful, especially with all that exposed crew
Personally, of these, I hope for the LAV-25 the most. Adding the LAV-25 would also allow to add the other variants of it without too much of an effort.

Its why I no longer play the super heavies.
only two things can happen when playing a doom turtle; 1. you become an almighty god that stops at nothing or 2. you spend half the battle getting into position only to have your barrel broken and tank bombed.
Or even worse, Strafed by a ME262
Or you get your engine knocked out and flanked.
It should be a war crime with how much the T95 has to repair its barrel
The Doom Turtle is more known as the Doomed Turtle because of how often the enemy goes for the barrel and causes it to be inoperable

After playing as the turtle for some time I’ve very quickly found out that your main weapon as a T95 is your 1 50 cal on top. Nobody will ever understand how much it has saved my life from all types of hostiles

The tracks and cars could hold him (at least union pacific can)! It's just a matter of taking off the outer tracks (it's designed to be able to do this quickly specifically for rail transport) so that it can fit on a standard flatcar.

Love it. As I tend never to use my T95 in 7.7br or 8.0br uptiers, I've developed excessive faith in how tough it is! Thanks for reminding me that it gets smashed when you're as brave as the TBLF!

@@frags7792 yeah. usually i just die at long range because half of my matches are on maginot line for some fucking reason with 104mm of pen and at 6.3 thats bs. BUT when i do get an urban map/close range, the jumbo just shreds

Everyone fears the Doom Turtle, but as always, I appreciate that I know both sides of the spectrum when it comes to playing tanks I don't own and tanks I have yet to own, thanks to Bo and his comrades. My respect goes out to you guys, really.

Sturmling was playing the country that has the other chonker super-heavy casemate: The Tortoise. I love memeing around in it, as I don't have the T95 (yet), and the weapon is also a lot of fun to use. It also has better armour on the sides and rear than the T95.

PE8 is the perfect example of whats wrong with CAS in ground forces realistic. Yesterday I had a late spawn, just got past the few seconds of spawn protection and got taken out by one. Ridiculous, the game had literally just started.
Sure CAS belongs, but it is stupidly over performing, both in a historical sense (WW2 - Korea Vietnam era especially, just look at Bismark's video about it) and also in a gameplay/balance point of view.
Everything else in this game is artificially "balanced" except air. Maps like Fire arc, Fulda and Maginot, you spend so much time in a driving simulator just trying to get top the fight, the whole time just being a very open target to the aerial fun police.
No point adding more SPAA.. 1... the implementation in the game is that SPAA is far more effective against ground vehicles, very few at lower to mid tiers actually use it against air,
And 2... more than one plane up with half a brain between them then SPAA has little chance. As you try to take one out, the others (and half the ground vehicles around) just use your tracers to pinpoint you and take you out.
Honestly can't blame the players who get straight into a plane in "ground forces" (AKA CAS Simulator), racking up points is so easy, and I find the air battles mode really boring.

remember when T95 only flaw was the slow crawl to the battlefield. But when you got there, you dominated. I can't drive it anymore, just airplane strikes and barrel damage every god dam time. Good video but this hurts to watch.

Fun fact, T95 is actually a T28. The T28 is actually so heavy it requires double tracks to get around the field. The tracks can be removed for Transportation.
