When I slide in singles I used to be able to really well and did a lot in singles when I had non picklrball shoes that were a little more slippery. Once I got pickleball shoes I struggled to do it again but the main thing for me is you have to have a good amount of momentum
@Shea regarding Tip#5, do you have your paddle tip down on your backhand only? or do you apply this "cheat code" to your forehand too? Im curious because it seeme like your forehand paddle tip is parallel to the ground, but your backhand paddle tip is down...
Ooohh thanks. Oversight on my part. It’s when you stop your forward movement and take a stance with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width with weight on the balls of your feet. Keep the knees bent and in an athletic position.
Sliding tip (for safety AND stamina): The more tired you get, the lower your stance should get. If you get lazy when you get tired and don’t slide with enough knee bend, your knee can lock out, hyperextended, with all of your weight from sprinting loaded on it - pretty much a guaranteed injury. Don’t be afraid of the burn of getting low.
I wouldn't try to give any technical advise just yet, but it would benefit your channel to keep to your journey and strategies. keep having fun, its quite easy to get yourself into the "pro" seeds this early in the sport so enjoy it because the competition will only get harder once more college players get involved
Wow! Best PB strategy video I’ve watched. Appreciate your humility too. 😊
Great Vid!

Tip down for sure! I’m not 100% sure I do it every time but I believe it’s optimal.

I've never seen the paddle head down tip before.
It’s a neat one! Hope it helps!
he means to just get under the ball, the tip of your paddle should not drop if you want to actually develope your technique

Great video with nice tips. Most are actionable except for sliding - 99% of the players watching this video will injure themselves even trying.
