This theme song had absolutely no business going this hard like wow
becoming the Thing upstairs is my life goal
I didn't grow up with this show, and I've actually never even seen it, but wow this song slaps.
Do give the show a watch, it's very easy to find the whole thing right here on UA-cam in its forty episode glory.
I was exposed to this when I was 5, was the first bit of the 80s I was shown, this was no doubt the best thing I ever saw, years later I listened back to the theme and man, I can't help but feel like that meme of moe from the Simpsons dancing
Happy Halloween! 🎃👻👽👾💀👿🤡👹😱
If you like this, then check out the theme for Count Duckuka, especially the end thene. It's from the same era & is also awesome.
One of the most ICONIC pieces of stop motion animation.
Somewhere in the dark and nasty regions, where nobody goes, stands an ancient castle. Deep within this dank and uninviting place, lives Berk. Overworked servant to the thing upstairs. But that's nothing, compared to the horrors that lurk beneath the trapdoor. For there is always something down there. In the dark. *WAITING TO COME OUT!*
Stay away from that Trap Door, 'Cause there's SOMETHING DOWN THERE!
Awesome, this show will never be forgotten. :)
I found a dvd of this show in a thrift store for a dollar i had no idea what it was i had never seen it before.
Holy crap! I never knew there was a longer version. This is going on all of my party playlists
I literally just said to my friend "I wish there was a full version of "The Trapdoor"s theme.. never had the idea to search it up.. until now. How could I miss out for so long 😂🙈
It's from the episode "Don't Open That Trap Door", which is basically an episode-length music video.
Happy 35th Birthday The Trap Door.
1984 - 2019. X
Whaaaat?! 😕 How could it be!? It was still 1995 as the series was on German TV, every Halloween time for a couple of years, but not longer.
🦇🎃💀🕷️🐸
25 years later... now I know more about this 😘🎉👻👍
"Don't you open that Trap Door!"
Oh, i remember this animated series. I saw it on The Children's Channel back in the 1980's and 1990's. Also, i played the computer game on the Commodore 64. And i went the stop motion animation class last year's january in Tikkurila, Vantaa. Right now, I'm practicing for drawing the comic books and other arts. This soundtrack still rocks! 😺👍
so full of retro nostalgia
Alice Cooper needs to do a cover of this
I'd learn how to make a reboot of the show just for that very purpose
I still remember seeing this show for the first time back in the early to mid 1980s. It was on CITV - Childrens Television ITV. It has a certain sarcastic dark humour which is brilliant! also having it voiced by Willie Rushton was brilliant.
God the memories of better times
Overworked servant my ass. No way he's that friggin happy if he's overworked XD
this randomly popped into my head, used to watch this at my grandparents all the time
Is the song cheesy and ridiculously 80s? Yeah
Does it absolutely slap even today? Absolutely
I was born in 85 and trapdoor is the most epic one to remember
I've seen trap door so much that I can notice this is faster than the original recording.
I've see it so much I can tell some of the intintions are different. At least to the full length one in the show
This is also slightly pitched up, there's a version uploaded by a user called Duck which sounds much closer to the version used in the show. Also, if some of the intonations seem different it's because when they do a theme song, they take the most memorable version of the hook and use that one, the full length version generally has differing parts :)
Fairly sure this version did appear in the show one time, in an episode where berk finds an old radio in one of his cupboards. This is sped up though.
One of the best kids shows of the 80's
I miss the trap door
What it also makes it interesting is that Berk looks exactly like Cookie Monster. But in much shorter appearance.
Cracking tune! Loved this as a kid!
Was an awesome show! We had some banging tv shows in the 80s/90s
This was in the episode "Don't You Open That Trap Door" but with Bony singing along to part of it
@@beboprocksteadym0nster-pow443 It was the 15th. The first episode was called Breakfast Time
@@marcusblackwell2372 sorry, my fault! It can sometimes happen that you make a mistake. 😅
1:06 Dont worry that's just my parents
I love that cute little sound at the beginning, like a little creature answered his greeting at 0:05
Miss this little fucking gem
BERK! You pulled the wrong tooth!
I'll tell you what sire? I'll put this one back and take out the other instead then?

Got the entire series on Christmas 2013 when I was 9 and goddamn did I watch the shit out of this show, still one of the best shows out there today
BERK ? FEED ME !!
Its like a mix of Luigi's mansion and GhostBusters
Even though I never had the chance to see this in my childhood, at least I can still watch the series at anytime.
Thanks for posting this after all those years, this show is quite the trip!

Bassline slaps! Been a few decades.

I like how Willie Rushton was in this.
This song still slaps in 2023
Early morning “80s-‘90s English TV. Nostalgia rush.
I have the game on my old Commodore 64 and it is hilarious. 😄
I loved this as a kid
This and inspector gadget…absolute bangers

Oh globits! Love it! 😂
Vintage I love songs like this
The guy who wrote this song is the author of Marry Christmas Everyone by Shakin Stevens and Japanese Boy by Aneka.
Absolutely great memories, great upload!
Oooooh, I likes this.
Never actually heard a proper recording of this apart from the one in one of the episodes.
I miss this
Amazing.
My dad showed me a swearing version of trap door, fuckin hillarious it was.
Oh bloody hell, did they release an EP of this? I never knew there was a long version
What makes it even more interesting that Rogg looks exactly like Plummy But in a much bigger appearance
0.75 x speed for instant vaporwave my guys, you welcome.
I watched this with my reception class 🥺
Happy 35th Birthday The Trap Door.
1984 - 2018. 35 Years. X

This Music Is Funky. Thanks Mate. X
I've Love This Disco Dancing Fever. Thanks Mate. X
nice song, it has me feeling the nostalgia of Thriller by MJ
I was always taken with the theme tune as a 11 year old. And you're right - it's basically thriller or perhaps a forerunner to the likes of 'The Wizard' by Paul Hardcastle.
BERK! WHAT’S ALL THAT NOISE?!
Oh, globbits!
My favourite TV Show. Needs to come back so badly.
Joseph Marrison I hope it dosent.
remakes almost always castrate the original!
My childhood
God I remember this !!!
Dont open it? The dang thing opens itself half the time!
I'm told this show terrified me when I was a toddler. I remember it fondly now though.
This full version of the theme tune featured in the 1st series, episode called "Don't Open That Trap Door" but did not include the whole song. This version on UA-cam, however, is the full uncut version.
Don't you open up that trap door. Don't you let out that antidote.
Now remember DON'T YOU OPEN THAT TRAP DOOOOOOOOR
Oh man... i remember the C64 game version i was recognition Berk's character . I no know the long version this song . Cool !!!
Hey, i also played that game on the Commodore 64 😺👍. Sadly, i never played its sequel, BEYOND THE TRAP DOOR 😿.
TRIP TRAP in France. Same song with french lyrics. I was 16 or 17 years old. Very funny !
Most of the monsters in this show were so abstract that I was much less scared of them than witches or vampires or aliens...
This is amazing!
This is so amazingly awesome for the fact I found the whole theme song !!
Brilliance
Absolutely love this. Best messed up daily morning wake up 5 minutes of my youth.
oh I know what this is, it's a Radlio!
That song was in berk radio
BERK? WHERE'S MY SUPPER? HAHAHAHA
Happy Halloween T Videoshow Mate. X
Nigel Davies - "theme of the Trap D00R"
(Here comes my childhood again) I had recorded it on my music tape since I was 14. Too bad that I had no music CD from this series. 📻🎶🤟🎧🎶
¡Por fin encuentro el tema completo! ¡Me encanta!
0:45 This Trap Door Theme Song Is So Funky. Thanks A Lot Mate. X
