Cockney biker, thanks for showing us viewers(I'm from America). You took a challenging task and made it simple to understand the procedure by doing it, so we could get it right when we do it for ourselves because you took the "intimidating" out of the task. The Vulcan 650 S is the bike I'm looking to get for my first bike, I'm 57, so I'm a bit "late" to the game of MC riding. You've just made it one step less stressful for me. Thank-you! Doug🏍️🤓
Mate I'm so glad I watched this tutorial cos I couldn't work out why I could not get the radiator cap off. Was gonna get the pliers on it but then saw this clip and realised that there is a small screw that needs to be out before I can take the cap off lol. Cheers u saved me a fair bit hastle there, 👍🏽
The manual says racing the engine before oil reaches all parts can cause the engine to seize, not that it will. The manual specifies warming it up for two minutes good video. Some things I'll do differently but a video I share with other Vulcan owners. 👍
Watching a video of something I've easily done hundreds of time over the last 50+ years of riding bikes...now THAT'S dedication to a channel. LOL. I still think Shea picked a great bike. I love the color of it, and Kawi always makes decent bikes, especially for the price. Yep, that's how it works with our children. "Mom, Dad, I'm adult now and I am moving out on my own to prove my independence." Shortly, "Mom, can I bring you my dirty laundry?" Then, "Hey, what's for dinner? I'm coming over." Life wouldn't be complete without, "Dad, can you change all the fluids on my bike?" Haha. And we always say yes because we love them and want to help them, no what their age, yes?
Awesome vid. Follow directions step by step except 1 step. I have spool stands so I had a bit more clearance to work with. I didn’t take the brake peg and pedal of. I wedged a piece of card board in there to direct the antifreeze into my tray. Great vid.
I would like to see a video of Shea & Mom changing there own fluids, I’m sure they learned to ride from Dad/ husband they must of learned watching you work on there rides. Great videos my brother big fan awesome the way the family ride together. Yourself family & friends ride safe god bless.
From your experience with the Vulcan S, how many miles of riding should you change it? How many miles for your coolant? I checked online forums but they don’t even sound like Vulcan S owners lol
@@keithlowell8733 The Vulcan S is a very reliable engine and with regular maintenance will last many years.. between recommended maintenance schedules, just do regular checks on Tires (Pressure + Tread), Chain lubes and brakes and you should never have a problem with it :) congrats on your new ride and Ride safe!
I went to the KZ dealership and asked for the brand coolant, any MC coolant will work.. just don't get any for cars, it's a different formula that will eat through your engine.
what a stupid way to put a coolant bottle inside the engine..they should just make it easier for us to change it from the outer section . like the oil change

I hope you bought this bike. Enjoy your riding for the next 15-20 years.
Glad I’m not the only one that spills oil on the ground.

Good video. I didn’t think changing the coolant could be so tidious. I will my self.

I'm not pushing my luck..hahaha
Nice bike, enjoy your riding!
Nice video but you never specified the type of coolant you used?
Very informative, thank you!
Air Force guardian bell is pretty cool bud
hello. I love that windshield. could you provide the link to purchase? thank you very much text translated by google translator
What brand/model of oil filter did you use?
Hey how are you, wanted to ask about your saddlebags the look nice. Where did you get them from and are you satisfied?
Nice watch
loved the video thank you!
Is that a car horn installed?

How many miles for your coolant?
I checked online forums but they don’t even sound like Vulcan S owners lol
Can you put an engine treatment such as Slick 50 or Duralube in a motorcycle?
I never have.. I just keep up with regular maintainance.. and she runs perfectly
Never use Slick 50 in a bike that does not have a separate gearbox oil reservoir. Your clutch will slip, quite a lot.
Sir is there a tube similar to the one you pull out of the reservoir that is free hanging?
If it's near the kickstand then that's the overflow tube. Usually for fuel or venting.
I personally take responsibility for the timing of this oil change. LOL!
Lol.. perhaps, I wasn't going to do the vid (having done that in an earlier vid) but I was asked to show how to do the coolant flush.
Where and how much was your rear seat sir?
I didn't buy the rear Saddle.. It came with the previous used 2015 Vulcan s. I think it was an OEM Stock Rear seat bought from Kawasaki.com
Thank you sir. I just bought a Vulcan s abs 2019 and the break in period is over. Other than an oil change do you recommend anything else?

Thank you sir! You as well!
How many liters of coolant did you depend on total to fill the radiator and tank?
I never measured it.. I used enough coolant to fill up to the rim of radiator.
@@CockneyBiker is 1 litre enough
whats the bell hanging under the bike?
Its a good luck charm.. some bikers in the US have a superstition that the bell wards off "Road Gremlins" ... (or something like that)
@@CockneyBiker that's pretty cool :)
What kind of coolant did you use
I went to the KZ dealership and asked for the brand coolant, any MC coolant will work.. just don't get any for cars, it's a different formula that will eat through your engine.
Great stuff bud!
Hot day, eh ? ;)
103 in the shade! 39 celcius! I was frying up out there..lol
