Been watching your channel for a little while, I decided I want to build a N gauge railway, I want it to be DCC, kind of stumped on what track to get, I see you are using atlas, they have a really big selection and the price is pretty good. Been looking at Peco track but it's more expensive. do you think the atlas track that you are running is pretty trouble free?
I’ve had no major derailment issues. As long as you run your trains for a few minutes a week the maintenance is minimal. I recently did a good track cleaning run with a bright boy because I hadn’t run it in months so there was a tarnish build on the rails. It’s running nicely now.
@@charliestraindepot3117 thank you for the quick reply, I most likely will go with the atlas track, the layout is going to be in my dining room that is 12x10, just waiting for my son-in-law to bring over some cardboard boxes so we can flatten them out and and do some layouts on the carpet and decide how I want to make the tables before I go buy the plywood to make the table tops.
I’m going to do a video on the plans for the layout I have. I’ve modified it but it shows the exact Altas pieces of track to use on those curves which is critical 🚂
@@charliestraindepot3117 great! I'll keep an eye out for when you post it. I have been getting a headache trying to figure out what kind of layout I want, I purchased the any rail 6 software and was playing with that, but my son-in-law is a lot better at CAD programs.
Thanks for sharing. Dave
You’re welcome Dave 👍🏼 Thanks for watching 👀
Sheldon would be excited for this channel

I like using anyrail. Once you get the hang of it, it’s a very useful tool.
