    Its been amazed the way you use and to explain the data and how it work in professional way. It is so useful to me to clear my interview for the Data Analytics and BI. I hope to will make it further videos on that topic. I will consider it if you make a complete role model for the Data Engineer for further to accelerate it. Thanking You.

    Very helpful video, this is a great way to see how ETL works in a familiar environment. But I noticed the order date is not really used for anything (we don't really need the order table, order details table has everything we need), you did mention it was just to show the functionality.

    One small question here - if data stored in the csv files are updated on daily basis then will this ETL will update the product category wise sales numbers ? if not what are the ways to trigger this model live?
    overall an awesome way of explaining the concepts

    • @garys1092
      @garys1092 8 місяців тому

      Yes. As long as the file name stays the same, e.g. products.csv.
      There is a tool to select Refresh All when in the Data toolbar. I'm sure there are several options but that is likely the easiest.
      Perhaps only refresh clselect csv's when setting up initial import dialog box.

    Nice video. Very clear presentation. What is the advantage of building the merged tables over linking them in the diagram view and adding a measure for the total? When is that method preferable?

    • @ITkFunde
      @ITkFunde  4 роки тому

      Thanks James for your feedback and a good question ! Loading and joining tables into data model allows us to use this data model in Power Pivot which is a diff functionality but to explain, once you have created a data model you have the flexibilities to run diff slice and dice queries and run various adhoc queries in power pivot. Hope this make sense.

    I had test on Excel where I had many tables in excel one is price table which had the details of price of the product and several columns were there and I had a different table where number of units (quantity) was there but these two tables were not directly connected price table had product id and orders table have product id which is connected to products table ...I wasn't able to connect these two tables because it was many to many relationship ....so if I go with your method like merging tables work for this condition?
