The music in this game, the level designs, the storylines, characters, everything just kicks ass. Sega really did a good job on this one. This is one of those games you just don't forget. Want to dust off my GameCube and fire it up again now. :)
When the first few notes of the song started, the memories flooded into my memory like a waterfall. Three memories in particular jerked a tear from my eye. The first thing I remembered was being bullied sadly but the second thing i remember was telling myself it wouldn't matter soon since a new Sonic game came out and I'd have it soon. My excitement blocked out the pain of being bullied temporarily. Then the next memory is of my friend and I playing this game, hours at a time just about everyday, especially once school got out. I remember as I played this stage, at the time I always thought I would be happy like that and that he'd be my friend forever. Adulthood is cruel. He was younger than me and now he's all grown up and forgotten me and I have responsibilities. At least I'll always have my memories and I can turn the game on and see over 90 hours of playtime logged so I will always know I wasn't just a wonderful dream of having such a carefree fun time in my life. Thanks for posting this video means a lot, maybe more than it should.

this game truly was a gem, the music, the gameplay, the final boss, the character usage, everything was just incredible and immersive, one of the best moments in my childhood. I can’t hear the music to this level without getting emotional
I think Knuckles does, but I am not sure how... I think that dialogue will occurs if you take a different "flower-copter". It may also be random depending on who you have hop on the "flower-copter".

As I mentioned before, there are two different copters to take in that section. Team Sonic- Normal Route Tails: Wow! I've never seen a mushroom that big before! Sonic: Hang on! This flower is heading straight for that mushroom. Upper Route Sonic: (whistles) What a sight! Knuckles: We have jungle mushrooms on my island too... but not this huge. Team Dark- Normal Route Rouge: Look at the size of that mushroom! I've never seen one so big. Omega: The wind is taking us straight for that mushroom. Upper Route Omega: Largest mushroom recorded! Shadow: We must be heading straight toward that mushroom. Team Rose- Normal Route Cream: I've never seen a mushroom that big! Amy: You're right! It's more like a giant tree than a mushroom. Upper Route Big: Is that a shiitake mushroom? I'm getting hungry... Amy: Is that all you ever think about? Team Chaotix- Normal Route Espio: What is that thing? Vector: I knew jungle mushrooms were big, but not THAT big! Upper Route Charmy: Holy magical mushrooms! I've never ever seen one so big! Vector: Stop that Charmy. You're starting to drool.
Gosh, I remember everything about this game. Even though the last time I played it was probably 15 years ago, when I was 7 years old. The game feels so real to me that as soon as I watched the videos I instincitvely remembered all the mechanics, and the different things in the game like the jump pads and robots and hoops etc. Gahdamn. This is the case for me with a few other very well made games from that time period too. Namely Madagascar, Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Quake II and III, Freddi Fish (kelp seeds), probably somr more too that I cant recall off the top of my head. I don’t think I will ever forget them in my life. I was always more explorative in this game though. I took it slow, broke open all the crates, killed off all the robots, gathered every coin, made sure to use the power character on jump pads to get the power up, keys, hermit crabs, etc.
I miss this so bloody much man I WISH this amazing epic adventurous beautiful gorgeous awesome games that sega produced like sonic riders made an sick return!!!! That’ll be dope 😎☺️😍
