  • I bought a shelf for ten dollars at the auction this last weekend! My husband and I really like to go to farm auctions so we can get the good old stuff that’s built to last and made in America stuff! The stuff made in China that’s cheap and breaks leaving you to spend more money. So buy the good quality old stuff, and it’s cheaper than the junk sold in stores.
This shelf had tons of egg cartons, and books lots of Old Western Books! In one of the books I found a library card with signatures going back in to the 1900’s the last year for someone to check out the book was 1967 a year before I was born. I will upload the video where I find the book with the card. I also got a pecan tool so I don’t have to bend down on the ground and pick up hundreds of pecans. Some good shovels and you won’t believe the prices. Stay tuned for the next videos!

It is always so neat to find those items that have a history attached to them. It always gets my mind moving pondering what sort of things would I leave for future generations to find.

I so agree, I was thinking of leaving a little hidden treasure for my kids to share. I just really enjoy the vintage stuff, the quality and just the history

I think those old western books are very cool. My bees were out of the hives today. Like seeing the bees out after a long winter.

The old books are way to cool. my bees are all over the place looking for nectar, we got to 69 or 70 today wow! and two days ago I had a green and white coat on and a bee went up the sleeve and stung me on the wrist. ouch. still itches really bad. I wasn’t even near the hive it was coming out of the old house.. I think they liked the green on the coat. They have been going through the Winter feed hungry little things.

I had to get that pecan picker this past season I had to harvest tons of pecans off the ground, my husband would shake the tree and then they would fall and to pick them all up, it was a lot of work I missed the pecan picker at the last auction so I was going to get this one. nobody knew what it was so no one was attempting to get it. it will help me a lot. it’s way to hard for me to pick stuff up off the ground from old injuries. it was so neat to get the vintage treasures the good ole days

Great video. I So dislike concrete work. I Think everyone at 1 point in life had a shed just like yours.

This poor thing is so vintage. I think it was here when the dinosaurs roamed the earth. lol I am using the shed this season and my husband is going to build me another little tool barn so this will go soon.

Things like your blue container full of photos always make me wonder -- who are these people? where do (did) they live? what was their life like? etc. Just curiosity!

my thought was why they didn’t want to keep their photos? The family was present during the auction. there were so many buildings on this property and neat vintage stuff, there was no way to get all that I wanted. the auction moved way to fast this time and not to mention, a lot of people were at this auction it was very crowded.

Evidently, the family members didn't care about the photos and the antiques, etc. That's sad, isn't it?

That is to bad they did not keep the photos in the bucket.

I was thinking the same thing, made me sad. The family was present at the auction?
