That's awesome! Thanks for watching, This is where my mom grew up. We have been visiting Wrightsville Beach every summer ever since I was 5 yrs old. I love every part about Wilmington.
I miss and deeply love U.S Airways with all my heart because my first experience traveling by air was in September of 2010 on a Boeing 737 that had winglets and from that flight on my heart permanently became a part of the airline and I only ever traveled on it once but I loved everyone that ever flew for that airline and I still do..💞
Wilmington NC is a nice, slow southern beach town with some low key exclusive areas. The inlets around there have a lot of hidden shoals. I prefer the view after taking off from LAX though.. ;)
I believe at the start of the video, you say seat 11F. Beings your on the left side of the jet, I would say maybe 11A. The CRJ-900 only seats 4 abreast, so the letter F wouldn't be used. It looks closer to about row 8 though. Nice video!
You are right, I see this a lot. I'm not sure how I put F. But "A" is always on this side. Just like you said, if the plane has only 2 seats on each side, they seem to always omit the center seat letter.
@A319A320A330AB Thank you. ILM is a nice cozy southern airport to fly into. I like the CR900's better than the 200's because the 900 conforms to my taller frame better haha. The -200 I kinda have to duck to see out the window.
@hindflight Yes, I've been vacationing here since I was 5 yrs old. My mom's side of the family is from Wilmington. The inlets and marshes are so beautiful when you go Kayaking through them. One of my favorite beach towns to be in.
@TommyPlane14 Thanks. While they're not at the top of my favorites list, I respect them because they are durable and sturdy to be able to withstand all of the high-cycle routes.
The 900 series is definitely bearable on a 2 hour flight. However, I cannot stand the 200 series. So uncomfortable and the windows on the 200 feel about level with my elbows.
@zurinok Thanks! No it wasn't turbulent the whole flight. When below 10,000 Ft and because it's so hot and humid in Wilmington NC you are always likely to hit heat thermals which was mainly the cause for some of the bumps. Once above 10,000 it was a pretty nice ride.
Thanks! This vid was filmed with the Sony DSC-H55. I added image sharpening and color correction through editing. I have since upgraded to the Sony DSC-HX100V and am very pleased with the colors and image clarity of that camera. The difference is the sensors. The H55 has the CCD sensor the HX100V has the CMOS. The CMOS is much better quality in any point n shoot brand you decide to buy.
Hey, we all make mistakes. Great video nonetheless. Thanks for the reply. I wasn't correcting you to be a smartass, honestly. Im flying row 9 from KC to Memphis next month on my way to Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks again, great job on the video!!!
That would have indeed been uncomfortable. I actually had a layover in CLT so luckily the regional jet part was 25 minutes. If I can remember I think LAX-CLT was an A321.
definately an A seat. But it might be that also the CRJ`s have seats "F" - in europe some airlines name the seats A-C D-F (what reason ever) - by example Lufthansa has A-C D-F in every 4-row configurated aircraft, (DH8-400, CRJs, ATRs etc) and in Fokker 100 a/c (flown by Austrian Arrows) they have A-C D-E-F (5 rowed).
Yes I believe because it is a French pronunciation. Bombardier Inc. is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and there is French influence in that region of Canada.
Some airlines opt for different seat configurations like a larger business class or a dense seating arraignment that causes some seats to be misaligned with the window...and yeah the engines do get hot because that are smaller
Oh ok cool! I'm thinking about buying another camera soon but I want one that has good quality because the one I'm currently using doesn't pick up my flights too well. Thanks!
here in brazil its different, bigger the plane, less comfort. smaller the plane, more comfort. thats why the best latin america airline only uses erj 190/195 and atr-72/42. but this is in here, usa should be different i think...
Jeff Thanks and pardon the late reply. The pilots make the descent very comfortable so doesn't feel like a roller coaster. Only in bad turbulence it feels like a roller coaster.
Wow, good spot. I have no clue where I got seat "F" from which is the other window. It is most definitely "A." I must've been making another video at the same time and entered the wrong info.
Daniel O'Brien You might be right. I think this may have been an estimate due to misplacing my ticket after the trip. But probably close because 23 picks up close to the emergency exit right?
I think it depends on the length of the flight but I believe their cruising altitude can range between 28,000 - 35,000 feet. According to Wikipedia, the service ceiling of the CRJ-700 / 900 is 41,000 feet.
Why is Bombardier pronounced like that? A WW2 bomb aimer was called a 'bombardier' and it was pronounced 'bom-bard-ear' - so why is the name of this company so often pronounced 'bom-bard-ee-ay'? Which is right? Why the change? I don't think there were many 'bom-bard-ee-ays' (although there were plenty of bom-bard-ears') aiming bombs, during WW2, so why call a company 'Bombardier' - then pronounce it in a bizarre way? Is it a French-Canadian pronunciation? That's the only reason I can think of.

Nice video of the CRJ-900

Nice video of you going to my hometown. You landed on RWY17.
The pilot greased the landing. Very well done. Nice video!

Awesome! Enjoy your flight.
These CRJ aircraft are nice planes to fly on!Despite being a bit smaller than most jetliners I'm used to flying on, they are quite comfortable!

jay capp Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video.

Good luck, be safe, and have fun on your travels :)
very nice landing
2:43 flaps... nice! Cool video man!

Bombardier also make commuter train cars. I've picked up parts for them and delivered to them in northeast quebec about 120 mi from Montreal.
Yes I believe because it is a French pronunciation. Bombardier Inc. is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and there is French influence in that region of Canada.
@necessaryevil101 Thanks, it was a nice soft touchdown on the runway.

Fantastic video! what kind of camera did you use?
Oh ok cool! I'm thinking about buying another camera soon but I want one that has good quality because the one I'm currently using doesn't pick up my flights too well. Thanks!

Can you feel the plane dropping. Is it like a Rollie coaster. Nice video
Jeff Thanks and pardon the late reply. The pilots make the descent very comfortable so doesn't feel like a roller coaster. Only in bad turbulence it feels like a roller coaster.
You're right, I don't know why I put F. Just a personal glitch I think haha.
Wow, good spot. I have no clue where I got seat "F" from which is the other window. It is most definitely "A." I must've been making another video at the same time and entered the wrong info.
I feel like row 11 should be up further. When I rode a CRJ900, the layout was 1,2,3,4,8,9,10,11....23.
Daniel O'Brien You might be right. I think this may have been an estimate due to misplacing my ticket after the trip. But probably close because 23 picks up close to the emergency exit right?
You flew all the way from LAX to NC on a regional jet? That must have been acutely uncomfortable!
You just flew on this from CLT to Wilmington, NC right? I hope you weren't on this all the way from LAX.
I'm very glad that wasn't the case haha. The route was LAX-CLT-ILM.
They shoulod make the wing a little bit higher incase hard landings
What altitude does this bad boy fly at?
I think it depends on the length of the flight but I believe their cruising altitude can range between 28,000 - 35,000 feet. According to Wikipedia, the service ceiling of the CRJ-700 / 900 is 41,000 feet.
I flew one of these at 37,000 ft
I think that is seat 11a not 11f

wing to close to the ground
One of the worst interior design in this plane I sat. In the back exactly Seat no. D22 there was no fucking window!....can anyone believe that!
Yeah, in the T-tail planes, the rearmost seat will take you by surprise if you're expecting a window. Happened to me a couple times.
I hate the 900s
+Delta Flyer13 I don't, I love the CRJ-700s and CRJ-900s.
