Given the problems encountered in qualifying and the difficulty of this group I think even round of 16 or 1/4 final would be a good showing for this Italy, then focus for 2026 as Spalletti has had very little time for 2024's tournament. Spalletti is one big strength IMO. Unlike Mancini he doesn't care about needing stars in his squad and is keen to work with whatever he gets. However I am not sure if the international setup will allow him to put in place the kind of football we saw at Roma and Napoli. And due that ridiculous draw, there is also a ridiculous draw of the stages at EURO24 with Italy in the 4th pot and Hungary in 2nd. In the Italian stage at Euro24 there are 3 of the top 10 of the FIFA Ranking, the best in the Group A is 16th, the second best in Group C is 21st, the second best in Group E is 22nd, the second best in Group F is 36th.

Garbage if you don't watch football. Defense is probably the best in the tournament with Calafiori, Bastoni, Acerbi, Buongiorno, Mancini, Scalvini, Darmian... Scamacca potentially is a top striker too. Midfield is kind of mid, but Barella is the best Italian player by far, Jorginho ain't bad and then you have Frattesi, Locatelli or Pellegrini. Dimarco Is world class. Di Lorenzo/ Bellanova are good too. Imo this team potentially is better than the one who won last euros.

Garbage if you don't watch football. Defense is probably the best in the tournament with Calafiori, Bastoni, Acerbi, Buongiorno, Mancini, Scalvini, Darmian... Scamacca potentially is a top striker too. Midfield is kind of mid, but Barella is the best Italian player by far, Jorginho ain't bad and then you have Frattesi, Locatelli or Pellegrini. Dimarco Is world class. Di Lorenzo/ Bellanova are good too.
Imo this team potentially is better than the one who won last euros.
