For my kinder in the Fall, we plan to use TGATB. However, these readers in AAR look very enticing. If you follow Read Aloud Revival, she speaks VERY highly of All About Reading!!!
Yes. I say go with what works. If you see something that doesn’t align with your beliefs then you can explain that to the kids. It’s all good though. My friend Brittany Lynn always shares TGATB on her channel and it really does seem to be amazing.
Hello! I will be using Explode the code along aside AAR1. I saw that you do the same (at the flip through of Explode the code) How do you parallel both of the curriculum? 🙂
For us, AAR is by far the best program. It touches on everything. Explode the Code is less well rounded but my daughter loves how easy it is to do independently. We use it in mostly on the go since it easier and faster to do when we aren’t home.
They work on both on this level. The pre-reader level focuses mainly on short vowels but level one focuses on both. I filmed a better flip through as well on this if you’d want to see a more thorough look and more info explained better: ua-cam.com/video/tqpa9ksy5mI/v-deo.html

All about reading and Math U See are my “must” have in homeschool
I agree!

It seems many people like TGATB. I have not heard of Read Aloud Revival. I will have to check her out. Thank you!
@@teachthemfun yeah. I know there is some controversy surrounding TGATB, but their reading program is incredible!!!

AAR is approved by The Science of Reading and Ortho gillingham method. It’s a must have
Great, and very thorough flip-through!
This was my first one ever and I didn’t know what I was doing. I remade it to make it better but thank you!

You're welcome!
Is level one just having them read short sounds? Do they have long vowels work?
They work on both on this level. The pre-reader level focuses mainly on short vowels but level one focuses on both.

My child is developmentally delayed/autism with adhd, but can read. Can it be good if a child neurodivergent but can learn?
