I honestly wasn't expecting all that much from the Takedown. Not sure why, it's a pump-action Shotgun blaster that looks like a Mossberg Shockwave so I should absoultely love it, but I wasn't digging it from the pictures I saw. That all changed when I got my hands on it. It's comfortable, it's rigid, it's fun, it's usable... this is definitely a blaster I see myself carrying for a long time. Mod video soon!

If I had to waste $60 right now, it'd be the takedown and the charger hands down (already got the perses, no worries, kinda curious if OutofDarts will make a proton pack for the perses, casue with the extended hopper made by the guy, a proton pack isn't so far off.)
you should try give it a good 300 fps airsoft spring
Walcom put two together and make it a double barrel shotgun
To shot gun load it you can also hold down the trigger prime it back while doing both then return it still holding down the trigger then actually prime it

Ran it in our war this Saturday, was amazing to use and the only criticism was the grip. It can take a k26, locks are easy to remove, and fun as heck to use!!

Mine arrived today and found out something interesting: you can actually triple-load a shot without losing too much performance. It's the fourth shot which drops the ball significantly in the performance apartment.
It's just a matter of time until some crazed engineer finds a way to make this thing shoot half-darts through a magazine...

It feels like Rival is tanking with accuracy.
Round darts will always curve with hop up.
It's not helping that we're seeing more and more high-volume blasters. A Knockout I have is pretty accurate, but that's because it's a single loader with a mechanism that specifically ensures the placement of the Rival round in the barrel is consistent and centered.
Automatic Rivals have worse accuracy than single shot springers. At least Flywheels don't get the crazy kick of gas piston auto actions.

This works extremely well with cheap soft ammo and is more accurate

Yeah- my first Atlas lasted maybe 10 minutes, but Reaper didn't quite make up for it.
We need it to be like the Artemis but firing all three at once, that is my dream
Takedown is already better than Atlas.
The atlas was shit and i hope we get a double barrel instead of a double loader like the atlas

Cargo pockets work great - just need a leather dayplanner strap with a clip on on end to clip to beltl oop of cargo shorts for the "Dracticool"

This is actually a really great blaster
TWENTY dollars -this is a winner. If the Kronos is on sale for say $15 and this is $20 id think either or would be a great entry into a rival blaster.
At walmart the nerf rival knockout is $15.00 and the takedown is $20.00
My blaster i fell in love with was atlas. Like it hit hard, shot 2 at once, very pretty, comfy grip, not too big, great reload mechanic
There's an easy way to double and triple load you just need to hold the trigger before priming.
I got a rival takedown from Walmart and hit propane tank dead center from about 50' away. Very proud of this guns preformance.
Pull the trigger while priming, then prime again without pulling on the trigger. Thats the fastest way i could find to shotgun load out of the box.

i finally got this blaster, and it shoots acctuall lazers. holy crap.
On down the line, this might replace the Magnus as a Masterkey
Then it would be more like an actual masterkey - a shotgun attached to another blaster. However, we'd have to find a solution for the loading port... Maybe relocate it to the side?
That would be the way, open The Takedown up see how it feeds and possibly fabricate a side feeder / Loader opening like regular steel loader big enough to push in the rounds and not loose the stability of the master key and maybe have a little extra room for a extra round

I think that running that with a perses or nemesis would be the optimal load out

Hoping to hear a report about your success (or failure) in taking the lock out! I see this as being a good Kronos alternative. A little longer, but I don't like top primes because if both of my hands are going to be engaged when priming it I'd rather be able to comfortably keep a bead on my target.

Just so you know if you hold the trigger while you prime, you can prime it again right away, thus shotgun loading.
This is the REAL nerf rival reaper shotgun!
If you push a round into the chamber with your finger while loading, you can double load it, and it still shoots like an average rival blaster

I want to take two of them, bolt them together, make it lever action and literally make a Nerf version of the the WSTE M-5 Combat Shotgun from Marathon 2
I use Nexus Pro, XX-88, HyperStrike Bow & Arrow, & two X - Shot Xcess as my main arsenal for competitive & fun gameplay.
Indeed you can double load it by pumping it once then holding down the little un jam button then pumping it again.
Hope the roundhouse offers that same quality that we've gotten out of these last 3 new rival blasters. Hopefully we get to see the new edge blasters soon and whatever the "athena" turns out it be

also, there is also an easier way to double or triple load this and it is when you shot a round, hold the trigger down, pump as many times as the barrel will fit, and then pump without holding down the trigger, and you can fire 2-3 rounds.
That or load one and after, use the unjamming switch to prime it again and load another

I put a 13kg Kronos spring and works fine, for better grip I put the part that grips to the fuzzy part of the Velcro
Ah, my personal favorite Rival blaster: a comfortable & compact pump-action, with optional double-shot capability!
when i try and slamfire my takedown, the slide actually instantly goes to the unprimed position, and chambers *another* round! it can chamber up to *5 rounds*

funny how the mossberg shockwave was made to imitate the classic but illegal sawed off shotgun that you could make with literaly any shotgun. its a nerf sawed off shotgun while the shockwave is a realsteel sawed off shotgun, i know that this is EXTREMELY petty to complain about but it sounded kinda weird to associate it with a specific model of real steel sawed off shotgun(wich literaly all look somewhat like the shockwave)
Is the priming too stiff to put a loop on the pump so the beaver tail can be used as a hook for dual wielding?

I have the takedown and can turn it into a shotgun you put some rival rounds in the barrel like loading a jolt.
My friend bought one of these, I countered it by buying a Nemesis.
