- Here, is Joe Morello (the great jazz drummer from The Dave Brubeck Quartet) introduced at the Drum Clinic. Sorry the video tape was old: so you're going to have to turn up the volume to hear his wise words.
Joe will always be missed He left a great legacy as a drummer , teacher , author and a warm hearted geneous funny human being , I am so glad that we have this and more footage of the legend .
what a great guy on and off the drums....very inspiring
Wow, he plays so gracefully.. fantastic!
He was Carl Palmers greatest inspiration Joe's a great drummer beyond words
You can totally hear Joe in John Bonhams playing.
I agree ! :)
His left hand alone is more talented than most drummers.
Just the best.
He comes with cool little jokes and ad libs like the Pretty Purdie.. cool skill of banter to directly open up the audience. I love the old generations for those skills.
The way it's done!
Master!
world class drummer ,,,,,,
I could watch him do those triplets like at 6:33 with his left hand all day
In my top 5 drummers ..old school..
Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Louis Bellson, Sonny Payne, Joe..
I’ve left out all the rock and modern drummers..
( I’m a big Carl Palmer fan )
if this guy wasnt a grt drummer he could have made a grt comedian also.
wow ..such poise i never did see!
Anyone know when this video shot?
dat left hand
It was a pity he switched from Ludwig to DW later in his career.
They must have looked after him better.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Joe blind?
Don't hand the camera to a drunk.
Yes Its easy to laught about some rock drummers but come on Joe sing like Don Henley (Eagles) or like Phil Collins!! Not possible??
Ok, sing like Ringo Starr!!!
Ohh also not possible???
Ok sing like a dead duck!!!
Oh you are a great drummer and you can sing like a dead duck!!! awesome!!!!!!
Fantastic ! Such rare footage .!
He makes it look like cutting butter with a hot knife
Für mich, ... einer der besten Drummer !
Go joe!
Joe toca muito esse batera e inesquecível.
