WHY IS THIS VIDEO POPULAR... This is genuinely one of the most awful cringy tryhard overly dramatic fanfic theory videos ever made! Please stop watching it!
Despite how “fanficy” it is its genuinely a good explanation for the story behind the game. It adds a lot to the already lovable and memorable characters.
And then he fought DK to qualify for Smash Bros where he got accepted because he won against him and they seem both pretty happy you can see that in the victory screens in SB where Mac is with Doc together The Community came up with that theory
I'd like to think that the next Punch-Out game has two story modes. One focusing on Doc before his retirement, fighting younger versions of Bald Bull and maybe even one of the Bruiser twins. And the other focusing on the present, where Little Mac is fighting some new and old faces after coming out of retirement in a revamped WVBA with Doc in his corner
I prefer the ending where you lose the Champion title to Glass Joe. then Retire. Of course it would imply that you threw the match, but I feel like he should at least get the chance to be a champion for a little while.
The idea of Punch Out having deeper lore that what it seems like on the surface is so interesting! I hope they do something more story-focused in the next Punch Out, if it ever comes.
Wow! Didn't think you'd comment! Thanks so much! And thanks for the compliment on my voice too! That was very nice :) I actually do a bit of voice over work so if you ever need anything I'd love to help out!
The sand man part is kinda... Well I think would realistically happen is that sandman was training to box (as a none heavy weight) inspired by doc while doc was still the champ and when he lost,he found an opportunity to cease the heavyweight championship and decided to bulk muscle and use his RAW power to punch through everyone, that’s why he torments little Mac and gives him a hard time because he has lost respect for doc and beating little Mac will cement that, but I don’t think he’d never have any injuries other than his jaw and maybe his stomach
Maybe Glass Joe's first win was Doc Louis when he relaxed to much and the reason he fought against Doc Louis was when he was moved down a weight class.
chocolate part would be that doc wasn’t able eat chocolate he was forced eat healthy meals never able eat his favorite treat until one match with a rising fighter that moves like a butterfly and stings like a bee after that lose and the shame he eats his favorite snack to help his depression then young little mac beaten goes to the gym ask former heavyweight to show him how to protect him self but he says no out of frustration after a jog doc sees little mac beaten in pile of trash that’s when doc takes him in
Remember, all of this theory was the product of coming up with Punch-Out!! cartoon ideas! So I'd like to ask what you'd all think of a Punch-Out!! animated series based around this idea! Obviously it'd be hopeful and cheerful most of the time because it's based off a Nintendo property, and it's a fun game! But it would dive into these topics at certain points in the show.
Only issue with your theory is... the records clearly show that each boxer suffered one loss during the course of the run to TD mode (clearly stated in the records of each fighter like how Glass Joe at the start was 1-99 and when you go into TD mode it is 1-100)
I really love the idea of this theory but I disagree with what you said about sandman, I just don't see him as a cheater, he is just...RAW power. He beat down everyone again with such rage that his own strength was hurting him in a way or something idk. Whatever, I really love punch out and I'm glad I found this great video 👍
I mean having glass joe and king hippo in the same weight class kinda ruins that whole bit at the beginning with doc but an interesting story nonetheless
1:07 There is a hole in this story. If he's losing or gaining weight it doesn't matter since its heavyweight. Heavyweight has no weight limit and in real boxing there is actually no minimumweight that you have to come in at for any weight class. You can fight at heavyweight while under the cruiserweight limit if you want. Hell the lightest heavyweight champion ever weighed only 165lbs.
Wouldn’t it have been cool if in smash ultimate Doc would talk to Mac on his stage kind of like pauletina ( I don’t know how to spell her name sorry ) on the stage for kid Icarus
Welcome new viewers!!! Thank you for blowing up this video!!!! Be sure to subscribe as this video is over a year old! My new stuff includes countdowns, reviews, and I may do more theories soon!!! Plus I'm less shouty and annoying now. Ayyyye.
This is a pretty goofy theory 1. Little Mac retired because he wanted everyone to know that he is the best of the best, and three loses and he’s quit. 2. Mr. Sandman was EXTREMELY fast and stong, he wouldn’t cheat to be that fast. 3. Mr sandman didn’t just escape the hospital because he wasn’t injured, he had a new haircut, and he destroyed a whole building. I get this is just a theory, but it’s a HUGE stretch
I have another theory. What if Sandman lost the battle, then fought Little Mac again because that's how boxing rematches work???? It's a crazy theory, I know but it might be true!!!!!!
This gives me game theory flashbacks.That’s...not a good thing, even though it was Gnoggin who made the vid on this topic. That said, I think the vid is solid enough to stand on its own...so good job.
Huh, never knew Gnoggin made Punch Out videos, or that there were any Punch Out theories in general. The reason for the Game Theory feel is because of my purposefully clickbait title lol.
All complete conjecture with next to zero evidence... Also. It falls at the first hurdle as weight classes are LIMITS. A cruiser weight can still fight at heavyweight
Mmmmh... Mr Sandman getting paralyzed it's pretty stupid in my opinion. Because you can clearly see him fine after the battle in the career mode menu. So...
Sandman was paralyzed. The menu you're referencing has nothing to do with the game lore, or the story itself, and it does show Sandman after the first defeat. Not after his last.
Gotta say, i think that it kinda stands okay up until Mr. Sandman get's paralysed and when he was cheating. it just doesn't fit Mr. Sandman. But i do say, i like the Theory as more of a Headcannon and not a theory.
It would be good if Nintendo actually made a story like this to the Punch Out for the Wii. It would give the game a lot more depth and would make the game much more engaging. Could also give Little Mac more of a personality and story as well.
It’s not really theory but in some cases it makes sense and in some cases it doesn’t. For example in this video he mentions that sandman cheated his way out and got some easy victories. But if you see his record it TD he has gained no wins and this goes for the other boxers as well. Not to mention in Last stand you can still battle sandman. Still an interesting theory. But can be debunked easily.
I don't really think that any of that was implied, but I'd like to see a show or something where that was the narrative. Maybe one day I'll try to make it if I get the chance to
Seems good on paper, except for a few BIG issues. 1. Doc had 3 title reigns, canonically, so the idea of how he had to quit is super out there from the get go. 2. Little Mac injuring Sandman? I don't think so. Little Mac has to land possibly hundreds of punches on Sandman to win the fight, and Sandman fights even better the second time around. There is no way he got injured. 3. The 3 losses are more from Mac being bored. He literally crushed everyone below him, so he decided to quit after 3 losses. 4. A history with Bald Bull? Since when? 5. I don't think the sounds of pain Doc makes indicate pain from an injury. You are implying that Doc was at the peak of his health, probably when he was in his mid 20s or late 20s, maybe even 30s when Sandman was a child. Sandman is now a fully grown adult, so given that assumption, wouldn't it be logical to say he is just old?
You clearly don't know anything about how weight training works, and the strict rules you need to follow for these professional sports. I doubt you're an actual wrestler if you're unaware of this.
It would be great if Mac gets up after being knocked down, effortlessly dodges bald bulls instinctive hits, gives bald bull a hug with a warm smile and just says “thank you”
Interesting lore you made, when I thought of an animated series for Punch Out, I thought maybe after mac defeated Von Kaiser, Kaiser would become less of a cocky fighter and respect mac, and try to get teached by him. They both could have the relationship Goku and Piccolo had, enemies when they first met, but friends after they fought
I couldn't find anything on doc louis's past or his relation to bald bull. Is that just part of the speculation or is there dialogue or is there something I'm missing?
Bald Bull is simply the only character to mention Doc Lewis. He says "Hey Doc, you teaching mac go get spanked?" Implying that Bald Bull and him have history
I think it wasn’t bald bull who did that to doc but Aran Ryan due to him being an enormous cheater and putting horseshoes in his gloves which can kill someone
This is more of a fanfiction than a theory. There is no evidence to Sandman's paralysis and in Title defence mode the challengers have the same wins and 1 more loss thanks to Mac meaning there was no way that anyone told Sandman to retire nor did he get forced retirement
What if instead Mac decided to go against the World’s strongests fighters and that’s why he retired. So he go into Super Smash Bros. It’s a much happier ending. Now we actually see Doc Louis in his Victory Poses showing that he’s proud of Mac.He even gets to train people even more in the spirits mode of Ultimate.
I think that all of this is right except for 2 things. One, I don't think he just ate chocolate bars because he needed the weight, what I think happened was that what turned into a proportionate consumption, became an addiction and his muscle turned to fat. Two, if he retired because of that, then why is there a warning about removing Doc's chocolate. What I think happened was he was about to have a match with Bald Bull (I don't think he would have his face gunked up here. He also probably wouldn't be called Bald Bull.), he was eating chocolate bars during the fight, Bald Bull gets angry by this and knocks the chocolate bar out of his hands. Doc becomes angry by this and nearly kills Bald Ball (ruining his face which is why he looks like.). He probably would've been arrested because of attempted murder (which would explain why there was the WVBA warning when Little Mac took Doc's chocolate.). Now after recovering, Bald Bull probably would get A LOT of fame after the incident with people asking how his face got ruined. I also think that after the incident, he probably got a disorder making him act the way he is in Punch Out Wii. His anger would slowly build until he starts unleashing lethal punches (this would be the intro you would see in Punch Out Wii). This would also be why Bald Bull really seems to really hate Little Mac.
Okay we know an actual punch out there is no way class so I'm wondering if the Federation that they haven't punched out is actually Underground boxing ring and doc the one that started it think about it?
I like it besides the obvious fact Punch Out!! is a game that really doesn't need a story, but there's a big problem. Little Mac punching Mr. Sandman in the back of the neck is a HUGE rule infraction, I know it happens in the game (like against Super Macho man) but *no shit* it would paralyze him! That's why it's a rule in boxing, *that* should've been the last straw for Little Mac's career, going down not just due to the shame, but his career being permanently stained from this horrible turn of events.
How did mr sandman beat Aran Ryan, Aran would also be cheating and I don’t see a good way to take that headbutt well or “the weapon of destruction” when your legs are crippled

I wanna play as Sandman
Imagine finding von kaiser as major circuit champion since its implied what causes him to be so low is his age.
@@imperialscouttrooper1083 lmao had the same idea, maybe take out his mustache.
Not really a theory but just a good story
Aren't most theories stories to give all the points of the theories?
There is some theory like for why both doc and mac retired

Shhh don’t say the l-word or we’ll summon Matthew Patrick
@@NobleWinters15- :(
I feel like this is more of a fanfiction than a theory.
I like it a lot though
I love the idea of Doc Louis and Bald Bull being former rivals, particularly with how DL invented the star punch and BB's weakness is the star punch.
Excellent video! Great voice-over work too!
Wow! Didn't think you'd comment! Thanks so much! And thanks for the compliment on my voice too! That was very nice :) I actually do a bit of voice over work so if you ever need anything I'd love to help out!
LeopoldTheBrave He's done a Punch-Out Lore vid too

Lockstin & Gnoggin funny seeing you here

Its actually canon that Glass Joe's 1 win is from Nick Bruiser
No
I enjoyed this but it isn’t a very grounded theory. More of a creative storyline
Yea, I liked everything, but the mr.sandman sub plot
chocolate part would be that doc wasn’t able eat chocolate he was forced eat healthy meals never able eat his favorite treat until one match with a rising fighter that moves like a butterfly and stings like a bee after that lose and the shame he eats his favorite snack to help his depression then young little mac beaten goes to the gym ask former heavyweight to show him how to protect him self but he says no out of frustration after a jog doc sees little mac beaten in pile of trash that’s when doc takes him in
One problem, everyone still has the same win/loss record during title defense (Apart from one extra loss from Little Mac).
How?
@@megaagentj2248 How what?
@@megaagentj2248 mac beat them in contender, then fights them in title defense and they get win and loses.

I also think Little Mac Inspires Glass Joe to up his game, and this time he starts to get better and better
If they make a new Punch Out game they should make it a prequel where you play as Doc
I’d like that
It should have a glass jaw difficulty that changes mac into glass joe and gets ko'd after one hit

They should make punch out for the switch or at least have it ported

this is some wild fanfiction
Im just wondering how in the world little mac won a one on one fight with Donkey Kong.
I think that sand man destroy doc Loi’s gym

Now to answer the biggest mystery in punch out.
Who lost to glass Joe?
pete lee No one knows.
A Nintendo Official Confirmed That Glass Joe beat Nick Bruiser From Super Punch Out!! But Nick Is Undefeated, Lets See If He Can Figure THIS Out
I couldn't find anything on doc louis's past or his relation to bald bull. Is that just part of the speculation or is there dialogue or is there something I'm missing?
Bald Bull is simply the only character to mention Doc Lewis. He says "Hey Doc, you teaching mac go get spanked?" Implying that Bald Bull and him have history
I love how he had Hajime no ippo theme in the back
Theory falls apart when you remember theres no weight classes in the punch out verse
The sandman and doc Louis thing reminds me of a certain former heavy weight champ, who is fighting very soon
3:15 ok now my question is, where is Little Mac now after he retired?
Just a very small problem about this, you cant hit people in the back. So, Sandman would have won by default.
This should be taken and the idea offered to an anime company in Japan. This would make a great series.
I don't think the WVBA has a weight class considering the fact that they let Little mac fight people like King Hippo.
I think it wasn’t bald bull who did that to doc but Aran Ryan due to him being an enormous cheater and putting horseshoes in his gloves which can kill someone
I might turn that idea into an animated series
I accept this as canon as everything makes sense and is backed by concrete evidence!
This is actually super good! I love it 💜
So he gets out of the hospital and magically gets a haircut?
I would just like to say, this is less of a theory than it is one of those fan-made backstory type of things
We need more Punch Out content, Nintendo.
It all ties together!
We're not gonna talk about how a Punch Out cartoon is the best idea?
The rest of this fanfic/theory is good give or take...but I LOVE the idea of Sandman being a scorned Doc Louis fan!
Nice theory man keep up the good work 👍👍😁😁
This is more of a fanfiction than a theory. There is no evidence to Sandman's paralysis and in Title defence mode the challengers have the same wins and 1 more loss thanks to Mac meaning there was no way that anyone told Sandman to retire nor did he get forced retirement
Wow good point you should make a video where you debunk this "fan fiction "😃😃😃
Honestly none of this makes sense to me and i think its all very wrong but good job none the less.
This isn’t even a theory, it’s a fake story
I feel like this is a bit far-fetched but still pretty cool
I won't point out the low amount of proof as I know this is just a bunch of people sharing ideas. Not a detailed analysis of game events.
I always figured he just saw the talent in Mac

I think that all of this is right except for 2 things.
So if bald bull made doc retire
And little mac’s final fight
Dose that bald bull works his way to world champion
I like to think Mac left just cause he's only 17 and probably has other dreams and aspirations to work for
I think he wanted to go to college imo
This isn't a theory, it's a GAME theory!
