It can be argued that Jeremiah 32:40 was for the peculiar people, namely, the Jews. It cannot be applied to the Church. We are not fear-driven. We are love-faith-and-truth-driven. We are drawn with "bonds of love," which means we are loosely coupled, and are not automatons or puppets.
