    Part of the problem is that all the injuries mean that the players available play EVERY match. No chance to be rotated or rested. Having an off day and will still need to play. Players will be run into the ground and have low energy. And then those players get injured and so it continues.

      @@craigrichardson731U try travelling the country then around Europe with daily training sessions and mix in a game at the highest level every few days. Let's see how tired U get and not to mention mentally fatigued. It sounds simple having a game every few days and nothing else but that's not the full story is it? Especially when the teams U face have a week off in-between games and can focus on training and tactics with enough time to recuperate. Of course it has an impact.

      Vicious cycle. Hence IF players can do more to ensure they avoid getting injuries e.g by training better/smarter, conducting themselves well in their personal lives, playing with more courage/quality/cohesion to prevent causing excess recovery runs, then they should , for the sake of their teammates.

    Sorry but what did Bent say that justified the headline? Neither of these two even mentioned the effect of not being able to rotate the squad has over a number of games. For Goldstein to say that THS are able to field a decent first 11 shows how little he knows about physical exhaustion. Total nonsense from these two unless they are talking about Man-u or Arsenal. 🤷🏾‍♂️

      @strollic5162 No they won't, Arteta is a bottle job. Spurs don't even enter the equation, he can't beat City or Liverpool to it. 5-6 years and he's done nothing significant

    • @strollic5162
      @strollic5162 7 днів тому

      @ "...he's done nothing significant..."
      Says a Spurs fan. If you supported Arsenal, you would know that Arsenal was outside the top 4 for the longest time since the EPL started. Nor were the challenging.
      Man City are a difficult team to overhaul, Liverpool only won one title with Jurgen Klopp, and they will probably win another with Slot now that Man City is out of form.
      Arsenal's problem is a personnel problem, not a manager problem. For the last three years, Arsenal has been the most consistent team in the EPL. Arteta isn't in charge of recruitment. Once the right personnel comes, so will the league.
      Meanwhile, Spurs will sack yet another manager; how's that working out for you?

    Since late November, Spurs have averaged 9 missing first team players. Players like Porro, Kulusevski and Gray (who don’t play low intensity positions) have had to play virtually every minute of every game since. We’ve also been playing 2-3x/week since then, so those available are out on their feet knackered. Their form has dropped during this period, as you might expect.
