Isaac Zheng although the sword could have been more in detail. she had to leave most of it undetailed due to the weapons rules they set up. it's just for the safety of other cosplayer and staff working the conventions

Hi Karen, I used reference photos of Asuna's bodice on Google - I couldn't find a pattern for it anywhere so I created my own one by draping it on my figure form. It was the most difficult piece to make out of all the pieces in the cosplay. Unfortunately I don't have a picture of the pattern. I kinda just eyeballed it. You could use a pattern of a Chinese top with a mandarin collar and simply make it sleeveless, then you could just adjust the right side with the longer piece as well as add the extra panel in the front, and lastly add an open zipper at the back. I really hope this helps! Good luck 😊🌸 xx
I didn’t understand anything about how you made the breast plate. You glued the linen onto the foam ?? It has a shiny texture it doesn’t look like it was just glued on top

Joana Caixinhas Hi Joana, I used about 1 yard of fabric for the skirt and about 1-1.5 yards for the bodice. I used about the same amount for the bodice lining fabric. It depends on how you'd like it to fit :)
Hi Nia, I bought that foam for the breast plate at the Crazy Store here in South Africa - it was actually a place mat for a dog 😆 but it was really cheap. You could even use yoga mats if you want. Then just cover them with white fabric (I used a thin stretchy sort of plastic material that is normally used to cover tables) which shouldn’t be too expensive. And then get some trimmings for the edges at an art store - I used glitter foam I got in the kiddies section, it was inexpensive too. To tie it, I glued ribbon and tied it in the back. Truth be told, the ribbon broke at a cosplay event I went to and I ended up tying them to the back of the breast plate with safety pins, nobody could see it in any case because Asuna’s hair is long. Hope this helps!
