The respect justin, dustin. And max have for each other is awesome
They only speak that way to sell the fight, as a byproduct of hyping each other up. Everyone has a duty to sell the fight. Dustin even after the fight spoke absolute truth. That he's better than Gaethje and it's not even remotely close whatsoever. Dustin won 1st rd vs Gaethje and then got caught with a 1 shot KO. Whereas Dustin beat Justin with a systematic breakdown and had him shooting a double leg on the ref.😂😂😂 Their wins are NOT the same.

Max has definitely matured into a standup champion.. Such a class act & humbly speaks highly of his opponents.
Max and Justin going back and forth with the respect for each other and the sport was pretty fun. I like when both guys understand the assignment and honestly it’s more entertaining than the trash talk sometimes.

I wouldn't say the UFC screwed over Max. He is one of my favorite fighters of all time but unfortunately he fell short against Volk and wasn't going to get another chance until he lost. If Topuria stays champ this helps Max get another shot regardless of what happens at 155

I feel like if Gaethje loses, he loses his shot at the title. If max loses he can just go back to 145 and fight for the title regardless. But if he wins now he can challenge Islam. If anything, Gaethje has everything to lose and Max has a lot to gain

This is a perfect right size wise for Max . Justin notoriously fights close to his natural weight because he dislikes cutting weight. So size for size they are comparable but it’s a classic power vs volume fight. Max has never felt leg kicks like he has to prepare for.
If Max can keep Justin on his back foot like Khabib did we know Justin will get tired. This is a coin flip fight in my opinion.
