- Welcome to the first episode of the Stash Buster series with Sam Calcott, exclusively on CraftStash!
What is Stash Buster?
It's a weekly challenge where Sam creates beautiful projects using only items from her existing stash - no new products, just creativity!
Each episode, Sam will dive into her stash, pick out something to focus on, and explore a specific technique, theme, or style.
The goal is to inspire you to get the most out of your own supplies, whether you love cardmaking, scrapbooking, or any kind of papercraft.

Last year I gathered all my unused craft purchases together and numbered them. I had 256 😲 I would have never thought that since they were everywhere. I committed to a no buy challenge and I put them in one box and put that box where I don't see it everyday and get overwhelmed by how much is there. Then I downloaded a random generator app and began generating a number, grabbing the item and creating with it. I've drawn 56 items through the year and stuck to my no buy challenge. Its been such fun, I'm doing it again this year. Its like craft shopping, but not! 😊 and I feel accomplished for using my stash. Win-Win!!
What a gorgeous stamp. This is the problem, there is always something better than you already have!!!!
I wouldn't have thought of layering that though. Brilliant ❤
I love doing decoupage the more layers the better lol ❤ I love your card!
When I moved I had cut down my crafting magazines to only keep the ideas I thought I'd make. They're been stored in my daughter's garage for the past couple of years, so I went through them this weekend and took home a few. Stash busting here I come.
Go for it! 😍
This is such a great idea for a series. One of the items I haven’t used in my stash is your paper craft society box from last year!

Love the card
Thanks so much!
Wonderful, cute card Sam. Thank you for sharing 😊
Love Stash Busters, love anything by you, Sam (as I have said many times). My idea of stash busters is more along the line of using loads of patterned paper and using a hitherto unused stamp would be more like "shop your stash". But I am not complaining, those are not scientific terms 🧪⚛
This design is perfect for people like me who are not very proficient at coloring - you get practice space in the middles that will be covered up 😉
Keep them coming!
These videos are more about encouraging you to use what you have in your stash, busting it out, wiping off the dust and using it. 😁
I so need this series 😅 Super card, definitely one to practise fussy cutting. Love love love the dimension ❤
What a fabulous and fun card - can't find the stamp for sale but has given me ideas for looking at other stamps a little differently. Thanks Sam

Beautiful work and so inspiring!!! This is the first time watching one of your videos here in the US. Can you tell me what type of paper you are using with your markers? I struggle with getting my markers to blend on the papers I’ve tried. Thank you so much for any advice you can provide.
Love that snow men stop. Who makes it? Please
Great video series, have subscribed and saved. Can't wait for the next one! How did you cut out those tiny stars?!
Thank you, I just fussy cut them out. 😁
Surely we don’t have such things in our craft rooms 😮
Love the card.i have not seen a stamping tool like the cylinder one you used for the tiny stamp. Could you please tell me the name or where you purchased.
Amei! Parabéns pela ótima idéia !
what a great idea
What a fabulous card, what did you use to attach the small heart stamp to?
Thank you. It’s just a thin acrylic tube from Card-io. 😁
How amazing is this I’ve done this before can you do it with any kind of stamp ?
Yes, definitely! 😍
@@CraftStashcoukTV thank you Sam ♥️
Love the card Sam and the patience you have to cut those tiny images. Great idea for this series xx
Where did you get the dowel you used to stamp your hearts with? What is it called? Also, where do you get your magnets encased in plastic?
The acrylic tube comes from card io, the magnets came with the platform. I used to use masking or washi tape on my old tim holtz magnets to make it easier to lift them
Love that idea… of course the stamp is out of stock. 😢. Can you tell me where you got the little stick pen heart stamp? I tried to locate on Craftstash, but no luck. I would assume there are other stamp options besides the little heart also? Thank you!
Hi, I got it from a craft show from Card-io. 😁
Also the heart stamp is in the set, it’s an acrylic stamping tube I used to stamp it.
@@MixedUpCraftThanks, Sam!!
Please, please use some stuff of your papercraft magazines you have in your stash!
What colour did you use for the tub
gold brown blend 5:50
