She left school earlier than usual that day, headed to her house. She thought she knew what she had to do to make the voices hush. She was sick of people whispering bad things about her, the girl in the dowdy black boots. "Is she an emo?", "Who cares, she's a freak.".. "I heard she likes boys and girls..", "Yikes, that's sick..".. "Is that Polly girl retarded or what?", "Who the fuck is Polly?"... The pink haired girl walked scared into the bathroom and put her favorite music on. Most of the songs in that playlist were depressing and sad, ideal for the occasion. She stood over the white bathtub and put the plug in, then turned on the faucet.. The tub was soon enough filled with water.
She stepped in it and sat down. Took a quite deep breath and leaned back, until her face was underwater.
She tried to remain calm and not let her fear get the best out of her. She was doing it, there was no turning back. Her face started to heat up, her head was heavier than ever, she was so close, but that's when the next song of the list came on. The voice of the boy who was not afraid to show his uniqueness echoed in her ears. The boy who was strong enough to shut down the haters and love himself. The boy who had given a shelter to so many outcasts. Yungblud.
She tried to scream underwater but her voice wasn't coming out, was it too late for her? In a blink of an eye she raised herself and took the deepest breath she had ever taken. She coughed, then sobbed, then cried... Why was she acting like a coward? "Who the fuck is Polly?" the random girl's voice played once again in her mind. Polly is a unique human being.. Polly is a girl who likes to draw made-up superheros, sing funny songs, play the guitar when it rains, walk her dog, spend time with her family, listen to music most people don't understand and don't like.
I am Polly, she thought to herself and decisively stood up. She got out of the bathtub and started walking around. She wasn't ready to leave, she needed to stare at the stars and the sun again.. She deserved all of the time she still had on earth. She was finally able to see that. She sighed and decided to take the plug out of the bathtub, she stayed still and watched the water going down the drain. She turned around and walked towards the door, stood there for a couple of seconds before opening it. The sound of the door closing behind her made her feel grateful. She was not scared anymore. She was ready to talk about the things that haunted her.
She went to the living room and sat on the couch. Her eyes followed the hands in the clock, until the front door opened.
"Mom, I have to talk to you.." the girl quickly said and the woman instantly approached her and sat next to her. The girl who once was afraid to open up, found her voice and spoke to both of her parents, her internet friends, her teachers, anyone who was interested in hearing her story. She didn't stop, she still hasn't stopped. Now everyone knows who Polly is and what's her story is. 🖤

Yungblud definitely saved me as well, in the sense that he's the only person to ever truly inspire me to be myself. He showed me another way of living. Not having to follow the way society expects you to be. For sure he means a lot to me and happy to see he helped you as well!
That's the reason why this video was created! Life is too precious and short to worry about what people have to say about us! This is for everyone who have questioned their existence at some point!
