- this week i thought i’d bring you along with me on my first trip of the year to the library! - I live in Liverpool in the UK and we have a beautiful library here in the centre of the city, i love spending hours in there just browsing the shelves 😊- plus, one of my goals for the 2024 reading year is to buy less new books, thrift and loan books from the library more.
I hope you enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the library, the dark academia vibes, and just the general book browsing! I wanted to make this as relaxing as possible for people, so there isn’t much talking in the first half of the video! - make sure to watch until the end because i share my mini book haul / what i loaned 📚

Awwww Liverpool Central Library, my old office, I miss working in that fabulous space. Laughed when you had the Awad already. But hey, you gave that book an extra loan and every loan helps.

I buy All my books at thrift stores. Sadly I never go to the library because it is so small and doesn't have a good selection.
That’s amazing! I’m definitely discovering the joys of thrifting atm, unfortunately I do most of mine online as the UK isn’t a great for secondhand books (unless you find a gem in A charity shop!) - but I find library’s are hit and miss depending on where you live/cities funding which is sad 😭
Such a beautiful library! my local library, as lovely as it is is tiny... but they keep me sane with all the books. yes we have to support our libraries!!!

Sometimes the small ones can surprise you and have great books! Such a shame they aren’t funded properly or enough 😔
I had to dnf bunny 🐰 I found it boring and just bonkers 😂 I’ve got Rouge on my shelf and want to read the glow 📖

haha the amount of times i've borrowed a book from the library that i already own without realising it 😂 i also have been known to buy physical books forgetting that i have them on my kindle
