- Steven Universe Future is providing us with a new rogues gallery, including Jasper, two Homeworld Lapis Lazulis and a cross-gem fusion of Aquamarine and a Ruby. When we begin to connect all of these dots, its likely more and more Homeworld fusions will arise in this rebellion. This could put Jasper in a position to restore a long coveted fusion she's lusted for - Malachite! However, with two Lapis Lazulis who are willing to stay fused, this fusion could be stronger than ever. Malachite 2.0: AZURITE! Let's speculate on what she could be like!

Strangly enough, Malacite is a healing stone along with Peridot, Jasper, Garnet, Lapis Lazuli, Amethyst, Spinel, and Rose Quartz

If I recall correctly, malachite is toxic when submerged in water without any casing on it, because it's a soft stone and will dissolve on its own.

Actually, about that! Rebecca Sugar has confirmed that single gem versions of every fusion stone are a thing. This is because fusions aren't technically actual representations of that stone, they're just an amalgamation that results in a close approximation to it. So there are single gem versions of smokey quartz, garnet, malachite, alexandrite, etc. So, don't feel impeded in your quest to make a gemsona that doesn't clash with canon! You still have pretty free reign! :D

I'm wondering if there's some mine influences involved instead. On the left it looks like a pink white diamond that looks like she's in pain or struggling, same goes for the cactus Steven anomaly. Could there be a new type of corruption affecting Jasper and the others?

I honestly think that the Eyeball and Aquamarine fusion (definetly Eyeball since all types of Gems, including fusions, always have at least some of their Gem showing) is called Almandine. I though ot this because from the only 2 Rubt fusions we have that are cross fusions, Garnet and Rhodonite, they are both known as types of Garnets, so I'm sensing this being a pattern through cross Ruby fusions. I looked through types of Garnets, and I found 1 that had the exact tear shape of Aquamarine's Gem, only red, and it was called 'Almandine'. It just seems like to perfect of an opportunity to miss

I agree with ur statement. I really wanna see Lapis fuse with either Bismuth and Peridot or with Steven or with any of the Crystal Gems.
It both will show her that fusion doesn't have to be toxic and it will be a perfect ending for her story.

Calling it now, the large pink being is a sole survivor of a race destroyed by the gems that Jasper convinced to help rebel against the Diamonds, something with immense mental capabilities, probably a race that was destroyed not only for expansion but also because the potential to take the control of gems from White Diamond.
Plus the Cactus/ Watermelon war is coming, you can bet on that.

I feel like jasper would use the two lapis's because she hates any changes that go on and with no work or duties to do because of steven. She would rebel with the two lapis's and form a bigger much powerful malachite/azurite. That way jasper has a way to take down the crystal gems for good.
I think they will introduce obsisdian again because of jasper forming with the two lapis' becoming more stronger and on the same power level as obsisdian.
Everyone knows malachite standing on her very hind legs is taller then alexandrite so wouldn't malachite with two LL be like atleast the size of obsidian?
I feel like if lapis did fuse with another gem it would most likely be with steven or peridot. They were the main support she has had throughout the entire series and the ones she has developed the closest bond with, so it makes sense that one of the two would be who she felt comfortable fusing with after all she endured
Yeah, two lapises would have to make the fusion more blue, so would be a different gemstone.
When you asked whether or not Malachite would be the same with two Lapis, think about the Ruby Squad fusion, they were still a Ruby, but we're bigger, so possibly a bigger, slightly different in appearance Malachite, and we would get a bigger fusion or two fusions. Alexandrite and a fusion of Bismuth, Lapis and Peridot...
Like when the main Power Rangers team gets some other random ranger to help them fight something... That tends to be extremely weak

Anyone else notice how most gems who play a significant role have symmetrical gem-placements? (minus Eyeball). So if your theory is true, they might be minor antagonists who fuse with Jasper pretty soon after introduction.
Alternate theory to Crystal Gems Lapis fusing would be a Lapis/Bizmuth/Peridot fusion. I mean A bizmuth/peridot fusion would be the ultimate crafter more so than what Bizmuth is due to Peridot adding her logical brilliance to Bizmuth. Lapis getting into the fusion would likely allow them to have a heavy combat role. Given that a we have seen that a four and a five gem fusion tends to be heavily combat oriented. And Three gem fusions are pushing the personality capabilities of gems, looking at the two main three gem fusions we have seen so far.
If Lapis And Peridot Fuse There Fusion Should Be Called "Turquoise"
I mean if Jasper fused with two Lapis Lazulis, it seems like the obvious counter would be for Lapis to fuse with Garnet. A quartz soldier and two water gems vs a quartz fusion involving two water gems and a former soldier.
Ok so in Steven universe the movie there is a part where inside the safe house a nephrite is taking an interest in Petey and is taking to him they stand close to eachother for the next few shots maybe something could happen off screen?
You know what surprises me, Ronaldo, now interacts with the gems. but still had to try and take a picture of amethyst turning into a purple copy of himself............

The corruption remains (even healed) would make a power struggle stranger.
The restored Alexandrite may be able to handle the new fusion since going thru the diamond Arc n Spinel. Don't forget much has happened to the core 3 since that last Battle with Malachite.
this might be the angle it’s at, but it appears that one of aquamarine / ruby’s eyes are oval and one is circular, so it is most likely eyeball that fused with her
There is something I just realized. Jasper was the only perfect gem to come out of the beta kindergarten and Amethyst was the only imperfect gem to come out of the prime kindergarten. One hates Earth, the other loves it. They are exact polar opposites.
I think it’s funny how the heroes used to be a rebellion, and now they’re fighting a villainous rebellion. Because of all the changes Steven made. Or at least according to you, Austric Vaz (I probably spelt your name wrong)
I dont know if there is already a theory about this but i believe that Pearl is white diamonds original pearl. If you see blue ad yellow pearl they both have their gems in the same plave as their respective diamonds and we know that white pearl is originally pink pearl and her gem is in the same place as her diamond. We also Know that in the movie when pearl was rebooted the song title reveals it's her third time being rebooted. So i believe that could also explain why pesrl is a specific color like the rest of the gems.

I think Obsidian would be used as a counter for Azurite, after all, we have Bismuth, Lapis AND Period on the team now, they would be able to assist in a final boss with a fusion of their own, they do have a bond similar to Steven and Amethyst
I think alexandrite and the fusion of lapis, peridot and bismuth whould be the ones to defeat azurite/malachite 2.0

The Crystal Gems can’t fight Malachite 2.0 by themselves, even Obsidian is taken out because, well, water makes her lava solidify. It’s left up to the three gems left on the battlefield : Bismuth, Peridot, and Lapis. Lapis has been backing up, slowly trying to get away, terrified. Bismuth grabs Amethyst, Ruby, Sapphire, and Pearl’s gems, and Steven’s half-awake body. She yells that she’s gonna get them to somewhere safe, and that Lapis and Peridot have to hold off Malachite 2.0. Lapis starts crying, swearing that she needs to leave, when Peridot says “NO!”, making Lapis freeze.
“Lapis, you said no more running! You have to fight, now! You’re stronger than any Lapis I’ve ever seen, you can take on Malachite! *WE* can take on Malachite!”
Lapis nods, and they fly headfirst into the battle. Peridot holds Lapis’s hand, and suddenly, they’re fused. With their combined force, they take down Malachite 2.0, probably with a sick assist from a recovered Steven.
I figured it would be a tag team thing where they take turns being malachite until they can't stay together

With the likely pride and arrogance, the other Lapis Lazuli's will have I think they will originally not like the idea of fusion but see that they are not strong enough so they grudgingly agree
Hey there I’m a big fan of crystal clear and i have some information about the fusion between ruby and aquamarine. If you look at the eyes closely you can see one is an oval and the other is a circle just like eyeball so I really think that the ruby is eyeball.
What if instead of fusing with Peridot, Lapis fuses with Steven? Since Crystal Gems view fusion as an expression of their relationships and bonds between the component members then as the first person to try and understand her and be her friend Steven's got the closest bond with Lapis. Maybe they're called Turquoise or Tanzanite.

Something I just thought about and idk if anyone else thought about this last video but with Steven having the diamonds to stop there colonization efforts, I assume that would but put a lot of gems (I.e Lapises ) out of a job. I'm pretty sure there would be quite a few gem whole be mad at Steven and by extension the Crystal Gems for effectively making them useless in the current era and possibly even losing there high ranking because of it. Who need terraformers when we done colonize anymore. And for a Lapis to have had a hand in the process now living happily on earth while Lapises on homeworld are probably going through a mid life crisis? Yeah I don't see that panning out well.

This is completely off what you were talking about, but that caning seems with rube and Safire got me thinking about what would happen if two two gems (for example both had there gems stones on there left palm) how would that fusion work? Would the gems combined? Would it made un-fusing not posible, or would both gems just crack?
