Hi everyone! You should check the cable between the gearbox and the battery negative terminal. But you can try a method, when you connect the starter motor and the battery negative terminal together with a cable which is 10mm at least, and start the car, and if it starts, the problem solved, you need clean the cable connection.
I had something similar too, with ABS/ASR, it keep telling me that it turned off, but later I found out at a computer check that I had 3 failures at my break pedal, and those failures thr breaking system wasn't able to block my tiers in case of an emergency stop. But when I checked my system, I was able to delete the errors without any issues. Idk if it's the same problem or even close enough, but I hope you'll find this useful ^^
@@SelFMechanic so far I've read that can be the ignition ring around the key barrel, or can be the earth cables on car could be split or needing cleaned. Or it can be bottom starter on car underneath near to flexi pipe
@@pauldownton1390 thank you for your interest, I have done all that you say and nothing, it only makes me summer when the outside temperature is above 26+.... I went to the fiat (dealership) and got upgrading brain (software upgrade), they told me if it comes out again needed a change 800 Euro for new (brain) I want to change the ABS sensor, can be ABS sensor i dont no :(
Replace old powercables (look from under the car) going to the motor or gearbox! I've had this prob+ starting issues for over a year, now its fixed for me
I managed to sort it 👌 water had gotten into the bcm unit so got an ECU kit, to save reprogramming a new unit , ECU bcm transponder ring and key chips with a few hours of work and it was all fixed

So how do you use the car? Because the steering wheel is very heavy and it’s dangerous. Was it made by itself?
@@fulliakxa5140 the problem isn't in the abs, it's in the brain, that's what they told me at the dealership, 1000Euro.

@@ShawBomb18 no sorry :( i have trouble in summer only and I don't care anymore.

@@SelFMechanic please check your break disc.. May be heating problem. Im not an expert just a normal punto user
