- Super Mario Sunshine has gotten over twenty years old, so it's time to bring it back to life inside Super Mario Odyssey by adding FLUDD, Shadow Mario, and a special custom level to the game, Bianco Hills! This Any% speedrun was a super fun twist on the game, and I'm really looking forward to making and seeing more stuff like this in the future!

So to any of those wondering, specifically the word "tap" was said 71 times. If you include tapper, tappable, tapping and tapped, you get to 90.

I’m not a big fan of sunshine but I’ve always thought that fludd was a neat gameplay mechanic so putting him in odyssey would be pretty fun
Me exact thoughts when making it. Sunshine is such a good concept but just needed more time.
I always liked sunshine in concept, but something about how Mario moves around in it has always felt sorta off to me. Honestly i still think the best use of fludd in anything, official or not, was in the fangame super mario 63. It's a free flash based browser game ( that, while slightly more annoying to get working then it was before, is still fully playable) that is basically a 2D demake of sm64, with it's own story, re-imagined (but still easily recognizable) levels, and of course fludd and the 3 nozzles. It's strangely fun and has very fluid movement and has many hours worth of gameplay, especially if you go for 100%. There is even a relatively large speedrunning community that has managed to bring any% down to like 6 minutes with some insane strats. I absolutely recommend playing it, the only thing that some may have an issue with is the castle toads are full of dated references, which is not surprising considering it was released in 2009.

They also asked us how many times we think you said "tap" in the video, and my answer is 90 times, provided instances where "tap" being part of another word (such as "tap-able" and "tapping") are included.
Alternate theory: The editor comments were a ploy by Amethyst to increase engagement with the video.

The context about Mars is basically just the fact that she had moved across to Amy's state. Basically lives across the road from her, which is why, if you watch their streams, they can now pop into each others' streams now and then!

Super Mario Sunshine if the game was good
One thing I would love to be added as a mod is for tutorials on those extra-tricky special parkour tricks you UA-camrs and speedrunners can do in this game to replace the in-game tutorials that Cappy gives you while traveling in between kingdoms. For example, replace tutorials for Rolls, Long Jumps, Cap Throws, etc. with tutorials for Buffered Spin Jump Ground Pounds, Roll Cancelling, Vectoring, etc.

Idea for you that I just randomly epiphany-d, what about a mod in MariOdyssey where it's like Hot Potato. 1 hider has their position revealed on the map for 30 seconds, they have to pass it off to another hider by the end otherwise a spawn flag follows them around for the seekers to hard push. It forces a hider to always be chased while also making it even more of a free for all lol

Hey Amethyst, I have a question for a mod. Could you mod the toadette counters for coins, jumps and cap throws to the max because I recently wanted to find out where it stops, so I grinded to 1 million coins but it doesn't stop there. But I found out that the coin counter in luigis world ends at 999.999
I'm guessing it's the 32-bit integer limit
