Found your channel recently and have only watched a few of your videos so I don't know any details here, but what a big beautiful piece of land and a seemingly big house! I am sorry you were vandalized, but it made me so happy to see that several burnt palms still had healthy looking new spikes in the middle... I bet they will bounce back! I have hope for your pomegranate and another tree that seemed to have new growth, too! I would give your pomegranate a good hard pruning back and if you can, a heavy layer of mulch or compost. Fire is a natural part of nature and it is amazing how resilient plants can be! I bet your grass grows back even better anywhere it was burned. I noticed when planting your new trees, you seemed to put them in lower than ground level. Is that a standard practice in your region? I would use the soil I dug out of the hole to make sure my trees get planted a bit higher, more level to the ground. But it's just a suggestion for future plantings. Maybe you do that so they catch and hold more water when it rains? I did love seeing it start raining right after you planted... just perfect! Like a little blessing from the heavens for your endeavors! Lastly, is that house in good enough shape to live in? Because if you aren't able to be there for long periods of time, would you ever consider getting a work trader / care taker to stay there to keep the place safer? I've lived as a work trader and property care taker for over 11 years in Hawai'i because it's not safe to have land here and leave it vacant.. you will get vandals or dumping or worse... thieves or squatters. So there are many people who own second property here that use a work trader to live on their land and do work to trade for their room or sleeping hale. I have my own cabin separate from the owners house but since they can only be here every 3 to 4 months, I'm here full time to keep it secure, do the mowing and gardening and care for our goats and fish. Obviously it takes someone honest and fair and willing to do the work trade hours but it's just an idea, especially if you're away from your land for extended periods and the place has a usable living space. Just came across this video and I am proud of you. Dealing with such neighbors requires being tough on some occasions. Make the chief your friend and when you move in there get some serious dogs then do not be too social with the village members. It is very unfair to set someone's property on fire and even pull down a section of the fence. Consider focusing on a kayiaba fence. Ctngratulations
I have done landscaping in my compound and besides the cash, its lots of efforts to havea garden look like that. Jael, keep going you will get back there. Your taste of trees in the compound is tops!❤
have you thought of investing in CCTV camera systems. There's a wide range of them out there, Some are solar-powered with censors. I'll also planning to relocate to the village in western having lived half my life in Europe - I just need to now live off the grid.

God sent rain to your freshly planted trees to bless your hard work and diligence. For the burnt trees that survived, cut away the burnt branches and allow the trees to focus on feeding the new growth coming out.
😢 I'm so sorry. It takes courage to keep going on. I have a neighbor who cuts the chain link fence and sends his kids to steal arrow roots. One day a neighbor spotted them. He used to say that it must be moles eating them. Then a water pipe was dug out from the ground 😵

Some of these people dont know how its difficult to bring up this home. Me am doing a 3 bedroom its fenced but each time i go visiting napata mafi kwa nyumba not even the compound
Jael, i am really sorry over what happened to you. I have planted those ornamental tree's in my home, they're pretty expensive. Even some go at high as 20k per tree
You should build a 10feet wall fence around your property so no one will use it as a clothes line, or gain entrance or animals gaining entrance to your property. Also, use a chain and padlock to lock your property. That’s protection for yourself and property, Good luck.
Why would anyone of sound mind do this? It got me emotional. May the Lord command his angels to always watch over the single parents who toil extra hard to get homes for their families.
Jael, it's well, this too shall pass. Just focus on the day called today and put in it your best. There's a day called one day when those ungrateful people will learn the hard way.

Make the chief your friend and when you move in there get some serious dogs then do not be too social with the village members. It is very unfair to set someone's property on fire and even pull down a section of the fence. Consider focusing on a kayiaba fence. Ctngratulations
Thank you. I will do whatever it takes to be at peace with them
Some r like that mwingine just try that no tree grows in my compound...l don't know what to do
@@FelixOkello-e7o so sad
I have done landscaping in my compound and besides the cash, its lots of efforts to havea garden look like that.
Jael, keep going you will get back there. Your taste of trees in the compound is tops!❤
Thank you for the words of encouragement, Purity. Bless you
Sorry, very Sad indeed my Sister. You are still alive and you will build your beautiful home again. Paco tye kwene, Awinyo iloko leb Luo.
have you thought of investing in CCTV camera systems. There's a wide range of them out there, Some are solar-powered with censors. I'll also planning to relocate to the village in western having lived half my life in Europe - I just need to now live off the grid.
Awesome. Yes,I will install them once I finish the project.
This is jealousy because you have a better home than anyone else.

God sent rain to your freshly planted trees to bless your hard work and diligence. For the burnt trees that survived, cut away the burnt branches and allow the trees to focus on feeding the new growth coming out.
Exactly what I did. They look so beautiful now,you wouldn't know they were burnt. Thanks, darling. Bless you
pole sana , people in the village can be very malicious, was there a worker at home
No.
😢 I'm so sorry. It takes courage to keep going on.
I have a neighbor who cuts the chain link fence and sends his kids to steal arrow roots. One day a neighbor spotted them. He used to say that it must be moles eating them. Then a water pipe was dug out from the ground 😵
Oh no. People can be so bad..
sorry for that and you are a very hardworking lady.....keep going.
Thank you.
@Jael… so sorry😢please kindly consider perimeter wall

I am a new subscriber after watching your interview on LNN. Love your videos and sorry your home got vandalised. Please find a way of installing cctv cameras even if it is incomplete , it’ll help deter these criminals or atleast get them identified.
Sure. Thank you so much.
@@jaelofthevillage reading the comments and it looks like quite a few of us from the diaspora really crave that peaceful getaway. Perhaps you should consider airbnb hosting for short stays in the future.
This is heartbreaking..so sorry
Look for someone to take care..
You rather pay someone than incurring cost of damage
True. Thanks darling. I'm planning to do a lot for the security of the property. In God's time.

What part of Africa are you from. I’m new to watching your video and they are so relaxing and peaceful to me.
I live in Kenya-Africa

Beyond words, that a person can be this envious to an extent of burning down someone's property show their ego has been depleted completely.
Be vigilant, be safe always keep an observant eye.
Thanks Murimi. It shall be well
Jael, I am so sorry that someone has burned up your property. There are so many evil people. I hope your police department catches the vandals. So sad when you're trying to build something beautiful and peaceful for yourself. Stay safe and take care.
It is well. Thanks for the concern.
The rain is a big good sign and blessings and GOD is telling you that you are a fighter and he is with you always. You know the devil will always fight the children of GOD but we will come out victorious
Amen.

Yes. ..and the pain on nurturing them then suddenly you have nothing.
The envy and bile in some pple eiiish, God will restore all that is destroyed!
Amen
Oh no!!! So sorry for that Jael. Wjy would someone hate progress so much? Why?...... 😢
You wonder but all is well now.
You should build a 10feet wall fence around your property so no one will use it as a clothes line, or gain entrance or animals gaining entrance to your property. Also, use a chain and padlock to lock your property. That’s protection for yourself and property, Good luck.
Electric fence
My friend, my neighbor's 10-foot wall fence is used for hanging clothes to dry, here in Ug! 😢
That's why I started with a wall fence. Sorry for you sis.
Thank you
You very active lady God bless you work
Thank you so much
Why would anyone of sound mind do this? It got me emotional. May the Lord command his angels to always watch over the single parents who toil extra hard to get homes for their families.
🙏🙏
Jael, it's well, this too shall pass. Just focus on the day called today and put in it your best. There's a day called one day when those ungrateful people will learn the hard way.
True. Thank you for these beautiful words ,Phina. ❤️
