Some tips for you: 1) "service sshguard restart" is faster to type than your whole "/usr/local/etc/rc.d/sshguard restart". It's also more portable 2) "sysrc sshguard_enable=YES" is faster to change settings in rc.conf . 3) always install one package at a time with "pkg install". Many packages have a readme after installation which includes important hints or tips to set them up. They are important to read, so it's useful not to cram them all together.
Gary!! Sorry I'm late but could you please, please do one that shows how to properly set up FreeBSD and fail2ban with PF? Or rather PF and fail2ban on FreeBSD? I'd really appreciate it.
Excellent video, thank you.
Thank you Gary, these are two items in my wish list 😀

Which one is better for production server?? Freebsd or ubuntu server?
Red Hat Linux Enterprise - Get a Dev license for a Dev server to run it at home. Learning Red Hat is the smartest option.
