Struggling with this for years. As did my father and grandfather as well as my brother. I've recently come back to God and the church after 50 years of living a wild lifestyle. I'm still struggling with my desires but I've stopped my insatiable thirst for drugs and alcohol. Sober this January 8th 2025 for three years. It would not have been possible without the lord in my life. I'm fighting with the lord on my side against the deamons of lust and I haven't conquered them yet but it's getting better. Please pray for me and anyone else who is struggling with any harmful desires.

@@DavidFiaschi-ti7un Hi David! I think, this is the most common struggle of human because this is our weakness. Nowadays, it's getting into mainstream because of technology we have. Let me share to you what I learned today:
Struggling to break free from sins of flesh and lust is a common battle for many people. The key is to recognize that this is a journey toward healing and holiness, not an immediate perfection. God sees your effort, your desire for purity, and your resolve to fight. He never abandons you, even when you stumble.
Here’s what you can do as you persevere in breaking
Don’t Despair - God’s Mercy is Greater Than Your Weakness
Each time you fall, turn back to God immediately. Say a heartfelt Act of Contrition and commit to Confession as soon as possible.
God’s love is unconditional. He knows your struggles and your sincere desire to overcome this sin. As long as you keep fighting, He will continue to strengthen you.
“The righteous falls seven times and rises again.” (Proverbs 24:16)
Practical Tip: Instead of focusing on how often you fail, focus on how often you get back up. The very act of returning to God shows your love for Him and your determination.
Hope I imparted something on you.

As always, great video from you. You don't know this, but up until a couple of years ago, I was a MAJOR pornography addict, frequenting many online porn sites almost on a daily basis. Since finding Christ, I haven't watched any x-rated films since, I don't really even think about it. The only thing I think now is all the time I spent wasting watching that trash, and how I was sinning and didn't even care. Lol. Thanks as always. Addiction to anything that is detrimental to your mind, body and soul is hard to break, I was addicted for a couple of decades! I will pray for anyone reading this who is struggling with an addiction because I know that struggle. ❤🙏✝

@@jaymac0775 thanks for sharing your story Jay. Just wondering, hope you won't mind, when you decided to turn your back to it amd I know how struggling it was, did you ever experienced relapse? If so, how did you cope up? ☺

To be honest, I did relapse once, in October 2023, just 1-2 months after discovering your channel, incidentally. I had a moment of weakness and temptation, and succumbed to it. I instantly regretted it, quickly repented and prayed, and prayed. Then I prayed some more, lol. That is how I coped, by maintaining a fervent prayer life, praying a bare minimum of 3 hours daily. That has helped me tremendously, and I mentioned to you before about my anxiety, which has improved considerably because of my fervent prayer life. I can oo longer envision a day without prayer.

@@jaymac0775 i see. Thanks for that. I'm in a bit awe when you said, 3 hours of prayer. Hope you don't mind again, hahaha I have so many questions, haven't you experience prayer exhaustion then?

No not at all my friend, I can answer here that's fine. The way I fight off exhaustion from prayer is to break it up into different blocks throughout the day, and to take several small breaks in between to rest for a bit, eat something, etc.🙂

@jaymac0775 nice strategy. Thanks so much! I remember the sermon of a priest back in October, he said, that we can pray the holy rosary 1 mystery per hour if we really have hard time focusing to pray the whole in one sitting. Thans so much Jay! ☺🙏🏼
