I don't think so - most of it logic thinking and problem solving. For example in the last question. Even if you dont remember factorials formulae, you can still get the answer by logically working it out. 4 possibilities for first digit leaving 3 possibilities for second digit, 2 possibilities for third digit and only one possibility for last digit. So its 4x3x2x1. Since already 2 possibilities done, so its 24 - 2 = 22. Nothing to do with constant usage. But depends on how the test is marked - if they insist on giving marks for the formula used, then may not get the full marks.

3x = 72 + 9
3x = 81

When I look back at how our syllabus is being taught in school, I begin to wonder how relevant and applicable it is to our working or everyday lives. Instead, could we teach youngsters on how to better prepare themselves on what's to come in their future such as cutting edge industry related technical skills and knowledge, programming, IT, automation.
BRUH. The fields you mentioned are highly reliant on mathematics. In fact, mathematics serves as the foundation in all these fields.
LOL. the mathematic that from 7 years old student to 17 years old student are actually the basic to all fields that we will learn. Just only higher level math in Uni are not necesery for everything but just higher level science subject
Dude. If u want to learn any engineering or tech related stuff at a professional level, we need high level math and science knowledge....NOT EVEN the secondary school level... Super complex physics knowledge and calculus skills
Learning mathematics is not about learning the knowledge itself actually but that kind of thinking while solving problems
That kind of critical thinking
Pandainya Nash😭
Kn
Dia satu sekolah menengah dengan i dulu. Memang top student & kelas pertama. Dan dia juga study oversea so yeahh. Memang pandai 😅
Instead of doing foreign country's exam
You guys should probably try form 6/STPM math😂
Mesti ada yg mcm Izuan kann?! 😂 Just agak jwpn & tadaaa jawapan 🤣
And mesti ada yg macam Thina bila tak dpt jawab, terus tulis ayat kasihan 🤭
Like how both the D student got higher mark than both the C student.
It's actually not that hard. More logical thinking
Maths also trains your logic skills with concepts of thinking forward, backwards, 3D thinking etc
Wait, isn't fractions a Primary 3 topic in Singapore? We learn it at the end of Primary 2 and start of Primary 3. Is it not?
Honestly i tot fraction is throughout primary 2 to 6
@@alvinmath oh yeah it is, but getting fractions for PSLE is too easy tho
@@alvinmath ahahaha I thought it was p1-
Singaporean needs the hard maths to pay the extra 1%gst
Hahaha try Singapore ‘O’ levels pls😂
I guess they sweat till no more sweat to sweat 🤣
Don't remains me ! But after A level I tot "ohhh O level a bit easy" LOL..
Actually 'O' level is easier than P6. I am an Engineering graduate and I cannot teach my P6 kids mathematics. They use modelling and I can't for my life figure out how to use them lolz.
Hahah 2014 o-level paper is similar to P6 math😅
@@ignatiuschua5268 do engineering math integration and differentiation
. How useful are models though... I think I dont do well cause didnt listen not cant do.
Did normal math and additional math, I dont understand how anyone can fail math at the lower levels.
Soalan berkaitan faktorial : 4! - 2 = (4x3x2x1) - 2 = 22. Jumlah kombinasi 24, 2 kombinasi dah guna.
I think msian and Singaporean math are kinda similar for me it’s kinda easy? but fr tho most of my math books comes from Singapore lmfao
How to use logic in add maths especially that ' log ' chapter
not saying that I'm good in addmath but for me log is one of the easiest chapter in add math. The others are hmmm what can I say make you head explode 🤯
Log means logarithm haha not logic xdxd
Ok im not sure lahh kalo all the Msian that thought these were too early for std 6 are old generations or what..... But fyi when im in std 6 2017 our syllabus already reach that part of math🤷♀️ (im not even sure if my batch is the first batch to get that syllabus "early")
That's easy, glad my brains still connecting
I'm Malaysian and all the question that you all did are what we learned in primary 5 and 6....i'm batch#04 we use kssm
Wow. They should do a Malaysian version of math exam qns too. Would be eye opening for us all.
Singaporean here...and I'm alr struggling with the first question shown 🤣
I don't care, Izuan's answer for the third question is ✔️
I got full marks of course. But I'm P6 Singaporean.
what is p6? 6th grade?
@@paanazmi8062 ya. Singapore P6 is 6th grade in other countries
Bruh this so easy. Go get the semi circle qn in psle 2019
AHA, I got correct tho
Oh that one....I just stared at it and my mind was like, “ oh dis one look like some weird insect. So long mannn....”
Damnn
Well I got that In 30s lmao. Math I got A* chinese A but higher Chinese surprisingly Distinction lmao wierd
@@PrimordialDemon414 Flleeexxx
it seen the question is more in logical thinking than calculating
Only for the toothbrush question. The other four needs calculations.
Eh next time I think admin choose paper 2 questions, this one is primary 3 questions leh
singapore's math is proven to be harder than SATs. thank you
sat is the easier 👎
Why not do SAT and join College straight away? Lol.. Stop hyping bro..
@@vinithavelayudhamthulasi SAT's for overseas.. right?
Not a lot of people have that much money especially in the context of singapore bRo
@@taylorkara9764 huh? I guess you dint get the pub that was intended.. I meant join college after Primary 6 lol.. You think that is possible and only money is an obstacle? 😆😆😆
@@vinithavelayudhamthulasi hahah guess i didn't get it but for the 10th percentile it's actually possible, just that the education system doesn't allow so 🤷♀️
This is like my sister primary 3 question & every question u must show working tho HAHAHA
Primary 6 maths is so simple I want to see this year's questions.
2:30 "rita is so nice" i am deceased 💀
they shld make another video singaporean trying malaysia spm math
wouldn't blame most of them for just forgetting how to do the questions.
Those were easy questions laa.. Opss I forgot I'm a math teacher. Ahahaha.
4 out of 5. Not bad after leaving uni 5 years
Tbh, i only got 1/5 of this test...cuz i literally tried to do it in 3min time XD
That 1 correct is it the toothbrush question? 😂
I think the last question the guy with the yellow background did 4x4x4x4 instead of 4 factorial
the most memorable PSLE question is:
What is the mass of a $1 coin?
A) 5000g
B) 500g
C) 50g
D) 5g
Just got to flashback my spm student life.... Maths is my fav
Math is beautiful. The most beautiful equation in the world is Euler’s identity:.
e^(i*pi) + 1 = 0
sama ahhh... anti dgn probability.. mmg selalu dok sebut pro- ba bi- lity dulu.. berapa kali cikgu n kawan aku terang tetap aku tak faham.. last² soalan tu selalu aku give up dan terus fokus yang lain je.. senang hidup..
"Rita is so nice ..." 😅😅😅
Those questions are what we learnt in like p3
2 Chinese immigrants were on a ship to new York in the 1930's. They were talking about how they wanted to try the famous hot dogs they've heard so much about. The moment they landed they went straight to a hot dog vendor and bought themselves the meal. They then went to a park and sat down to enjoy their meal. When they opened up the wrapper, the first guy looked at the meal and then at the other guy. The question is, which part of the dog did they get?
I am a primary 6 student in SG all the qns so easy go find math Olympiad qns
I'm from Singapore, did psle a long time ago. I got 4/5 😭😭
its weird in school you cant answer this type of questions but you cant do it in uni and college
Question 28 feels like add math question
Yup maths is not only numbers but logic and English too. The questions here are pretty straightforward. More recent ones.. I cant even understand the questions. That's me reading my P2 daughter's paper.
Honestly the tooth brush qn is the give away
I have a whole bunch of PSLE P6 Maths 2019 prelim papers of different schools with me right now. I just give them the last 3 questions of Paper 2 from any of these school papers, can already. Can take out the popcorn and watch the show....
This is P3 standard:
A baker baked some cupcakes. After selling 1958 cupcakes, he baked another 238 cupcakes. In the end, he had 500 cupcakes. How many cupcakes did the baker bake at first? How many Malaysian P6 can understand this and work it out correctly?
I believe the questions are not PSLE papers but from school test papers. Anyways, good try to all :) Math was never my favoured subject too!
I'm Singaporean & I took PSLE like 10 years ago & I got 2/5 hahaha Its been so long since I did maths
Bro they be learning spm addmath topics, the last question was actually permutation damnnnn it was a simple question tho but didn't expect them to learn it in std 6
Maths very important if you know the basic since it will be used in daily life without you knowing... Making solution in life is like you doing answering mathematic question...
The toothbrush question is base on estimation which is very common in real life and the question are all basic u should try the 2019 psle paper coz the 2020 is simple
I don’t think the 2020 is simple personal opinion
Nash is really good at math. I m jealous
Singapore math is harder than u thought it will be. Try secondary school math n PSLE math
Pray for me my PSLE is coming soon. U guys have inspired me to strive even harder
This year P6 math PSLE was a little bit easier and doing the question was like playing a game with different difficulty. As long u know the formula in that topic. U will get a much higher chance to get a pass
3:46 yes this qn is a legit qn, except for the ACTUAL paper, we used coins instead of a toothbrush.
And tbh yes, whatever they are doing is technically what we are supposed to be doing because we need to learn how to estimate mass with everyday items with sense of touch to understand how 1 g and 1 kg feels like. Not exact answers but an approximation, usually coming out in mcq.
Omg was ur psle 2015 too
@@leeerica9634 nope it was in the news, my psle was 2013
@@LWL-sz5lh wow ... Mine is way earlier..
