Brentford fan here, all I can say is the fans (and atmosphere) at Everton on Sunday were miles better than the ssshhhhh, we experienced away at Liverpool. Looking forward to playing you again next year. Bees!

for many years the Evertonians were not given credit by T.V. coverage who used to put microphones on the old Kop at Analfield to beef up the noise .

@ian_1 nah France has full ultras sections that generate the atmosphere. Look at teams like Marseille, Lens, PSG, Stade Rennais etc.

Done any MLS games yet (a bit of a theme here given Everton''s had its fair share of US talent)? Might surprise you. Options: Atlanta United FC (70,000 epic stadium). Seattle Sounders FC (another big stadium). Portland (30K, but epic atmos). New stadiums: Cincinnati, Austin FC, Columbus, Nashville). Don't fall into the trap of "Oh, Los Angeles?".

@ian_1 Yeah. They started off all playing in NFL stadiums. Didn't work well. Thankfully most have their own stadiums now, 30,000 level and fill them. Atlanta and Seattle do fill their dual purpose stadiums now and again however. But you're right.

What was wrong with the officiating? The ref got every big decision spot on. Both reds were clear cut and no arguments about Everton's penalty. The ref was quite right not to show MBS (y'know Graham Souness, 'the number 29' - if you are going to be a pundit at least pretend to make an effort to know the players names) a second yellow. It wasnt a bookable offence.
@@Garybaldbee The first penalty incident was a stonewall pen. If it was given, Branthwaite wouldn't have been sent off. The lad who gave away the penalty should've been given a 2nd yellow for denial of a goalscoring opportunity. Ref had an absolute nightmare.
@@swagmanmark2906 The reason it wasn't given is because Richarlison grabs Ajer first. Both got a hold of each other. Mads Bech shouldn't have got a second yellow, Richarlison never had the ball under control so it's not a goalscoring opportunity.
For me Everton, Leeds and Newcastle have the best atmospheres in the PL very hostile places to travel to. Best believe when Newcastle get their money they will go unbeaten for years at St James’ Park, cracking atmosphere

I'm old enough to remember an Everton side 2-0 up against Sheffield United in the second half, dominating the game 11 vs 11 and on course to win the title. Sheffield United snatched a goal out of nowhere and ten minutes later they were winning 3-2 and Everton's title chance was gone. It only takes a single moment to turn even the most dominant game on it's head, so it's impossible to say if Everton would have gone on and won had Branthwaite not been sent off.

Its a conspiracy against us, that ref has now sent off 4 Everton players in his last 3 games…. While they were checking VAR for the red card they should have checked for the Penalty claim for Everton 10 seconds before!

You could've had another red yesterday tbf, Mykolenko headbutted Toney and saw no punishment. Every club in the league gets refereeing decisions going against them because the refs are shit, should you have had another penalty yesterday? Maybe. Does that mean there's a conspiracy against Everton? No. Just like there's no conspiracy against Arsenal, Man City, Norwich, Burnley, Leeds or any of the other teams that cry about conspiracies every time a decision goes against them.

Watford we had nothing today even down to 10 men the fight just wasnt there the subs where brought on to late. So we go again against Palace on thursday night I will be there also with my blue smoke but have little faith in this squad of players. Even tho I supportered Frank even Im having secong thoughts is he the man to rebuid our club im not sure.

Rafa is one of the worst managers to ever be involved with everton, the board ignored fans saying no to rafa at the start and still let him grab hold of us and some of the players had just given up and wouldnt even go to clap the fans after matches instead opting to go straight to the dressing room.

Newcastle fan here. I'd really recommend you go to St James Park again, the atmosphere just gets your blood pumping and with Wor flags being waved around before and after kick off it really is an site to behold.

@@lufc448 mate I’ve been to all those grounds, that atmosphere on Thursday was better then what I’ve seen at European games, not many grounds have an 18k seater stand fully standing with the lower tier standing on the other side of the ground. You get 60k singing one song it’s ridiculously loud. You can hate cause we’re so called part of the “big 6” but we still have a quality fan base, before moving we had one of the best atmospheres in England, when you combine that with a NLD it’s a recipe for a banging atmosphere, how can you comment when you weren’t even there 😂
