Back in the day I thought detailers were nuts for some of the prices they charged. This was till I developed the technique and started detailing my own cars. Given the amount of hard work that goes into this my mind set then changed to "these guys are not charging enough".
Ah gotcha. Nothing in particular I was just curious. I’m in Austin, TX and we’re looking at opening up a shop location at the end of this year. It might be awesome to see a video where you talk about when the right time to get a shop is? 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t know how well that will do for views but I certainly would benefit from it
Hey Oscar I just found your channel it seems very helpful and very in-depth I am looking forward to help my boyfriend start his own business he has been detailing/washing cars for over a decade now but has no idea about business and to be completely honest nor do I. Im looking forward to become more educated with your channel 😊 thanks for the content hope to see more !!
thank you saying it out loud, the process for applying ceramic is the same, granted the price of the longevity of the coatings is different, but changing $100’s and $100’s of dollars more for longer coatings was always stupid to me , you the man!
As a long term 15-20 years in this field there is literally nothing i haven't tackled. I just wish i could work at a shop like yours instead of the half-ass, unappreciative, dealership I work for. Ive done it all from Ceramic Coating to 3 stage paint correction and everything in between. Life sucks as a detailer at dealerships.
I agree with Angel. break out on your own... start with weekend jobs following this price structure and then faze out the dealership or retain them and charge more... believe in yourself!!
Anyone’s opinion: 310$ for sedans 350$ for SUVs -Full exterior wash and dry -Clay bar treatment -Wax coating with sealant -Wheel and tire cleaning plus tire shine -Plastic trim restoration and polish -Headlights/Rear lights polish/restoration -Chrome polish for grills, emblems, wheels, etc. Is that price point fair please share your opinions in the customers mindset🙂
@@DetailGroove Hey! Thanks for the reply..more day in the life on the road..prep before heading out..moving around to each appointment..love those vids!
When you were mentioning ozone treatment for smoke odor removal, you were showing a pump sprayer, but thats not ozone treatment, please help as I don't understand that part
Look's like you have some great employee's, what are you paying them... if you don't mind me asking!! I'm actually blown away by these prices, but I understand Quality over Quantity! Peace Brutha
Oscar. Are your bigger ticket items higher margin jobs? Engine bay cleaning at $120 seems like it would be a high margin. Time, chemical, & labor. Just curious.
Oscar thanks again for great info. One thing I struggle to follow though is you have so many different variables you discuss as to how you charge, but I don't understand how you actually breakdown the pricing. If every service is so variable how do you come up with consistent numbers from car to car. Hope that makes sense.
Bro cuanto pagas por tu lugar donde trabajas , de renta ?? Bro let us know how much you pay for rent in you shop That would be great vídeo so we can I have. An idea
Generally just apply cleaner, scrub and wipe with a towel, repeat until clean then dry. Also the cleaner you use should be one without a harsh sent and designed to not be rinsed out. If you use a apc or cheap chemical it can wick and gather dirt faster if you leave a high ph on the fabric.

Hey Oscar! What percentage of your jobs are mobile vs in house? I see most of the vids these days are filmed in the shop
It's about a 70/30 split. 70% is shop. What kind of mobile content are you interested in?

challenges when pricing 120 for a mini when it should be a full detail or is that just the price for a large suv
How can you clean or shampoo dirty cloth seats without an extractor?
use your chemical of choice, agitate with a brush, and suck it out with a shop vac
Look into P&S 3 step system.
Do you use a clear coat meter?
Do you fix keyed up doors 😢
You gotta quiet the haterz
Do you still do rinseless washes? What percentage of your washes are rinseless if you were to guess?
