You can re-align RGB using simple channel movement, easy to do even in photoshop, for sub-pixel just do an enlargement first. (Moon shots, Jupiter, Saturn) for perfect alignment you can switch to grayscale and put one layer in negative and 50% opacity, when your picture is gray, it's aligned then reverse to get back to RGB. Always center on green (bayer of the DSLR always had 2x green pixels).
@@GavriloPewPew you should try, it's even good when you do a scan in an old magazine, you turn picture to CMYK then re align the channels, you get then a better picture than was printed.

Slymin, I recently purchased the Celestron NexStar 8SE. When you say quality eyepieces what eyepieces would you recommend for planetary viewing and deep space viewing? Any advice would be helpful.
If you want really good planetary views, I would recommend the Explore Scientific 82° 1.25" eyepieces, or even the new 52° series 1.25" eyepieces. Another great option is the Celestron Luminos 1.25" and 2" 82° eyepieces. The 1.25" eyepieces will give great planetary views, but since they have an 82°AFOV, they will also be great for Deep Sky. On the 8 SE you may not use the 82°AFOV to its full potential, but if you ever get a wide-field refractor, they will give amazing views in that too.
Hi, great pictures, enjoyed this video. I could not understand why Venus and mars which are closer to us, appear so blurry in your pictures. The other pictures are recognizable but just had to take your word for mars and Venus
Hi, great images! But certainly all of them are stacked and processed to reach these results, right? What we can see, directly on it, between these objects (especially Uranus and DSO)? Can we see them like in the picture? I'm trying to decide if I'll buy the 8SE and would like to know what can actually be observed with it. Thanks!
I can confirm Saturn and the Moon looks like how it does in the photos. You can also kind of see the bands on Jupiter. Note that I live in a very polluted area (both light and atmosphere) so your results may vary for the better.
Great job explaining things to us newbies . Will a Meade Instruments 07545 LX f/6.3 Focal Reducer and Field Flattener fit on my SE 8 and is it worth the cost saving?
I have been using the advanced VX8 myself for 2 years now and it is such an amazing mount! The stability it offers is amazing if you are looking to take clear photos. Also it has a feature called “all star polar align” which makes the polar alignment without a polar scope possible(I don’t believe most mounts come with that feature) Very robust design, it feels like it will last for years and years.
i’m seriously considering purchasing this to see the planets but i’m really not willing to buy a whole canon camera to take good pictures… do you think an iphone camera would suffice 😅
I have so many questions regarding this video. I have a similar set up and don’t get anything even close to what you are showing. Can you provide more detail? For example when I use my Canon DSLR I can only see objects in video mode. Switching to still mode means I must use the view finder which really sucks. So clearly I don’t know what I’m doing and it’s frustrating. Especially when I see what you are able to do with the same equipment. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
That is amazing:) I'm new to astrophotography. I was wondering if you could explain to me how to contact all pieces together. I got Celestron Nexstra 8SE, Celestron 93640 1.25 Inch Universal Barlow and T-Adaptor and ring adapter to my Cannon. Thank you in advance:)

I am curious what you think I will be able to get out of it pictures and viewing wise. I feel as though I have made a mistake because I didn't do my research on my first telescope. It hurts.
Hi this may be a stupid question but do the images you showed require a camera and editing to see clearly? Or does it look like this through the viewer to the naked eye? This is one thing about these videos that confuse me.
You cant see DSO, you gotta be in Bortle 2 or less, and also only Orion and Andromeda is the only things I could see through my 6SE. But Saturn and Jupiter is very good to see
what is the correct setting for my 4se why is track mode is always off when I set it to altaz ? when setting it to eq north it will remain eqnorth ? hope you can help me set it properly ?
Hey Slymin - Your photos are really amazing for natural photography with no extreme post-editing done. Question: Do you recall what your manual settings were for the Canon? I'm still trying to grab my first good photo of Saturn and Jupiter. I have the f6.3 reducer, and I have a Canon 77D. When I connect it to the scope in prime focus, Saturn appears extremely small. It also just looks like a bright white dot, and you can't even see the ring... Clearly my settings need work. Same thing with Jupiter - It looks like a white dot, with four smaller dots surrounding it (the moons). I'd really love to properly capture the texture, etc. Thanks!
Nice work Slymin, I am using a Celestron 8"Edge on AVX mount here in SW Utah and am hoping to get some good photo's of Comet 46P/Wirtanen this December, but have to say the geo engineering in our sky's here anyway has been a real bummer especially over the last year. Finding a clear night is getting very hard to do as the sky is bombarded almost daily now. Dont know if your having the same issues where your at or not. It does make for some interesting photos with my dslr at sun down however. >:/

i’m seriously considering purchasing this to see the planets but i’m really not willing to buy a whole canon camera to take good pictures… do you think an iphone camera would suffice 😅
Thank you.
Thank you for your presentation.
Should I buy this as a beginner?
That is amazing:) I'm new to astrophotography. I was wondering if you could explain to me how to contact all pieces together. I got Celestron Nexstra 8SE, Celestron 93640 1.25 Inch Universal Barlow and T-Adaptor and ring adapter to my Cannon. Thank you in advance:)
i dont think he answers for what i see. so i just bought one too. and have no idea on what to buy to see these beauties..
Hi, great images. Does the DSLR need any modifications to capture these images? I also have a Canon 3i and have seen videos showing removal of a
sensor for better performance in astrophotography. Thanks.
Nice telescope is it possible to get entire moon vie in the frame ?
Hi slymin could you make a video with your recommended telescopes / astronomical binoculars for beginners with the lenses or setup you recommend would be really helpful
Fantastic Thanks so much for sharing really inspired me I’m gonna have to get out my old reflector I built when I was 14 years old
You're welcome, glad you enjoyed it!
I just ordered a celestron 8 se. how necessary is the neximage 5? I will be using a Sony a7iii. I’ve got the t ring and adapter ordered as well as a 6.3 reducer.
Also, I’m assuming I can edit images in Lightroom as I normally would, right?
Yes, hello good sir, all pleasantries to you sir. I am curious, I have the 130mm AstroFi Reflector telescope, with goTo and Auto Tracking.
Can you tell me what you used i3 lenses to get a good shot of Jupiter I have this scope with a 2x extender and a couple of lenses but not getting much
5:17 interesting great video
Something that’s no supposed to be their interesting
What's in the moon crater?
With this thing you just can make photos or you can look live?
what magnification you use for moon video capture in this video?
Please try to photography Asteroid/Kepler's Belt between Mars and Jupiter....
The was never any explanation of why you used the NextImage 5. Can you expand on that?
Neximage 5 is for planetary imaging.
Hello, I had a question about the equipments, why did you use Canon? Like..is it necessary to have a camera?
As a beginner, newbieq pls: if we got one of these scopes, would we be able to see these images with the eye as opposed to a camera?
You cant see DSO, you gotta be in Bortle 2 or less, and also only Orion and Andromeda is the only things I could see through my 6SE. But Saturn and Jupiter is very good to see
what is the correct setting for my 4se
why is track mode is always off when I set it to altaz ? when setting it to eq north it will remain eqnorth ?
hope you can help me set it properly ?
is the moon zoom photo at max scope`s useful zomm?would you need a 16` to get 1000x max magnification?
1000x?....is there even one available to you and I that can produce reasonably sharp images at that magnification?
Good question!
Thanks!
@@hooch1111 Would love to know because I've yet to get my first good photo...
Is it possible to see on the computer what I see from my celestron NexStar 127 SLT telescope, without having a camera?
Nice sonoluminescent stars..nice photos.electric universe is awsome.
Steve Forever oh can you explain what sonoluminescence is:) What create it?
Excellent work!
What is better than Celestron NexStar 8 SE I mean, to have more zoom into further objects
Nice work Slymin, I am using a Celestron 8"Edge on AVX mount here in SW Utah and am hoping to get some good photo's of
Comet 46P/Wirtanen this December, but have to say the geo engineering in our sky's here anyway has been a real bummer especially over the last year. Finding a clear night is getting very hard to do as the sky is bombarded almost daily now. Dont know if your having the same issues where your at or not. It does make for some interesting photos with my dslr at sun down however. >:/
Did you ever get comet pictures? I got a few with just a telephoto, but on short exposures as I didn't have any tracking at the time.
3:20 There seems to be other moving object in bottom left. Any idea what it is?
Aliens
Were these all taken using only the included alt-az mount or did you use a wedge (or something else) as well? Thanks.
Alt-Az only, no wedge!
